Lol at this poster. It must suck going through life so bitter over nothing.

Meh. He’s won two titles. He’s clearly a great coach.

Dabo still first call if Saban retires

And I found a pathetic, bitter-arse loser. I win.
Sorry Dabo talks about God too much for your taste. Maybe you can move on, eventually.
From this board, I mean.

Did this imp seriously bring God into this?

Dabo is a moron that got very lucky. He'll slowly fade at Clemson, or totally bomb if he ever leaves for somewhere else.

Still on the Dabo train. Normal coaches have bad seasons. We are just spoiled because saban isnt normal

It is tricky. This quarterback class coming of age that impacts UA, Clemson, OSU is getting interesting.

Mario Cristobal has done a great job at Oregon.
Could Dabo survive a legit conference ?
Cristobal, Dabo, and Kiffen are the only obvious contenders, but I'm sure a few names would emerge from the NFL.
I'm curious as hell if Saban will get involved with finding/naming his successor.
Edit I think Lane could be a force if he had a DC like Pruitt opposite him- those two could probably keep Bama recruiting at our current elite level.
Meanwhile something tells me Cristobal is the most similar to Saban in that he is highly disciplined, and probably has extremely good organizational skills and ability to run the entire program.

Cristobal as HC
Kiffen as OC
Pruitt as DC
Dabo as the recruiting director
It would take all four of them to replace Saban.

Of those three, my choice would be Cristobal.

That's probably the best lineup possible currently. Of course Kiffen would have to crash and burn at OM at least, and Dabo to crash through 2 more programs first, for them to go back to lesser jobs. But it's a dream team.

Why would BoB step away from his level at the NFL to become OC at Bama? He may be a name worth watching to see how he does as the OC. I hope he does well enough to be in consideration for the HC gig. That would mean he did well and he stuck around for a few years.

Nah.
I'm on the Kiffin or Cristobal train. Maybe Sark if he puts together some good seasons at Texas.
Dabo would be an interesting hire, I honestly wonder if a few rough years at Clemson wouldn't actually be good for him. He seems like he's lost his fire.

i'm for whoever can keep the money men at bay. whichever one can keep them all from thinking they each own the program and call the shots. thats the one i want. we dont need a repeat of times past. this is why i'm very interested to see how sark does at texas.

Saban isn't retiring for another 7 years minimum - no point in trying to pick a replacement now.

Yeah he got very lucky over 2 national titles, 2 more national championship appearances and a winning playoff record over 6 appearances.
If you don’t want Dabo’s schtick here, then fine, but some of these takes are nonsense. I think Dabo does need good coordinators, and now Tony Elliot looks like a fraud who may have relied on Jeff Scott before Scott left for USF.
Cristobal ris like early Dabo to this point. “Oregon-ing” should become a term like “Clemson-ing” used to be.
‘18 Blowout loss to a 5-7 Arizona
‘19 Loss to 7-5 Arizona State
‘20 Loss to Oregon State
Don’t be surprised when they drop one to Utah or someone this year.
