Is this where fans from teams guilty of tampering (a certain WR from UGA at Auburn or a certain LB from UT at Bama) complain about Kirby Smart tampering?

Coach Saban refused to take Henry T when he was in the portal. Told him and his dad to stay patient and see if the magic portal opens up as we now know it. He actually ended up visiting Ohio State and many thought he might go there.

I thought you couldn't contact players until they hit portal.

I think he is saying friends that went to high school and played on that team together, are going to different colleges, and now the SEC player is saying I’m rich and you are broke, come here.

IIRC the portal held a record number of players after the '21 season, more than ever before. How many of those players were left without a school to transfer to?

If we are not, we are doing it wrong.

That is a really good question.

I get the talented can upgrade their profile, but how many are going to get left out in the cold?

I honestly have no idea what college football is going to look like in five years.

Mullen & Riley both do this a lot.

They never contact the players directly. They often talk to an old high school coach or teammate as an intermediary.

We don’t need to downgrade talent. It was either Vandy, South Carolina or Missouri.

Kirby Smart did it with Tank Bigsby. Probably him.

No he didn't. Our RB room is stuffed. He might have wished we had gone after Bigsby, but I would be absolutely shocked if he contacted Bigsby after he was enrolled at Auburn.

Out of curiosity...where did you get your information. Your next door neighbors 2nd cousin's aunt works in the Auburn AD?

Auburn has proven history of paying players.....Georgia? Not so much.

Ah yes, more message board rumors

Some of the Auburn posters have a fixation about other schools paying players, when they have been caught doing exactly that in the past.

If he's a running back we are good in that position for a while.

We're able to go two deep on our dline due to transfers which is huge for our program. It will benefit the teams who will use it properly for needs and help even out talent all over.

I think it will make for more competitive games.
