I don't hate any team but I wasn't a fan of malazahn so now that he's gone I'll go back to not caring at all.
On the flip side, many hate Bama but I'm a Saban fan and I respect what he's done. When he leaves I'll go back to not caring about them.
I would imagine any hate, which I haven't heard of because nobody is talking about aubie, comes from people being tired of delusional fan bases.

If you've ever met even one Auburn fan, then you know. Most pointlessly, gratingly self-righteous people on the planet. They're like Texas fans, except instead of being that way about Texas, which is admittedly a pretty decent state, they are that way about some little podunk town in bumfrick Alabama. They have (at least the ones born in Alabama) the god-given opportunity to pull for the greatest program in college football history which also represents their home state, and instead they choose to hate and despise their birthright. Just loathsome people.

Auburn has always been my second favorite team, although their fans tend to color that somewhat. About half of my friends in high school went to Auburn and we used to drive down for party weekends regularly. Was never the hatred that came up later.

Hate is a strong word. Annoyed by Auburn is more accurate. They are like the little yipping dog trying to get attention.

This is why I hate Auburn: they always try to find a way around the rules or do something really weird to fool the other team instead of just manning up and playing the game the right way.
That being said, I'd say from watching their first two games there may be hope that they've turned the corner by taking the game more seriously.

What’s to like? Nothing that I have seen in over 60 years watching SEC football. AU is a cow college in S Alabama that is absolutely obsessed with toilet paper and has the NCAA constantly coming to visit. They break NASCAR speed records rushing to sign players other schools have kicked to the curb and still have the gall to criticize their superiors. And somehow after all this, they in their delusions, still think they are a better program than Bama, LSU and UGA.

I don't. I actually have a ton of respect for Auburn. They have a cool mascot, awesome pregame tradition with the Eagle, excellent tailgating, a hostile (but fun atmosphere, etc. I HATED Tubs and later Cam Newton, but I don't have any animosity towards Auburn.

I don’t hate Auburn. I like the town, the stadium, the traditions of the eagle, Timber corner, lemonade and domination of the tigers when we come there to whip your arse. What’s not to like? Everyone knows you cheated for a natty so I just dismiss that natty
