You must be talking about the two times he has beaten LSwho.

No school would ever fire a coach 2 years after winning a Natty.

Nah.

He's 1-7 against Alabama. When you ignore his Ole Miss record you buy into the narrative that O has somehow reformed as a coach.

This is completely false. Lol.
There’s no way O gets fired from just 3 losses, barring any outside issues.
O’s had the #5, #4, #3 ranked recruiting classes the past 3 cycles; and another very likely top 5 class for ‘22… This shows that he’s getting the best talent in the nation consistently with an upward trajectory each year…
If recruiting starts to fall off, or O shows he can’t be successful with those top classes, then he’ll be fired… but not simply after 3 loses this year. I don’t even think another .500 season would do it either…
I think the only thing that would get him canned this year or after this season, would most definitely be from some outside issue or reason.

I mean, does it really matter who the LSU coach is? Other than like 1996-2007, Bama has never had a problem beating even the best LSU teams. It's a mental factor because Bama usually isn't THAT much more talented than LSU.

The massive obsession and insecurity from our fanbase bleeds into the program itself.

A&M either has commits or is the strong leader with 8 of the 12 Houston/East Texas kids ranked in the Top 130.

BTW, LSU surprisingly has none and at this point is likely not to land a single player from the State of Texas. I honestly don't know how that is possible.

We don’t recruit Texas just to recruit it doofus. Depends on need and fit.

If it came to that, Woody would hire Jimbo or Napier

Napier may want to go to a shithole school but Jimbo is very satisfied where he is. Its not like the Swamp Rats can outbid A&M. We have the money and you don't shite for brains...er I mean corndog. Same thing right?

LSU is the better job and Jimbo has a soft spot for LSU. Plus he and Woody are besties.

Fisher would be a fool to come to LSU. Jimbo won the lottery at A&M… I mean who wouldn’t be satisfied at a job that paid them 75 mill with no added stress or pressure to win anything significant. I think even I could go somewheres and recruit top 5 classes for 75 million… especially if I was given a 2/3 year grace period to settle in…
That’s essentially what A&M fans are happy with Jimbo for doing so far….

So let me see if I understand coonass logic. Jimbo has been mediocre while in the SEC west at a school that has more cash than LSU does but equal talent (although he’s beaten you twice), but despite this clear mediocrity when playing at A&M, he’s on the short list to be hired away from A&M because he doesn’t care about being paid more.

He’s gonna come to LSU to win with your players even though he’s getting paid more and already beating you with “lesser players”....

All this is your masterminded coonass logic?

LOL. That's some fuzzy math you got going there.

5+4+3 = average 4th best in those 3 years.

You know who does actually have the best recruiting classes in the nation the last 3 years? The team is in your own SEC division. They have the #1 class in 2021 (highest rated ever), #2 in 2020, and #1 in 2019. Guess who it is.

I wouldn’t say mediocre, like I’ve said he’s a competent coach. And again, I don’t want him here.

And he’d be on the short list because of his relationship with Woodward and Scott’s proclivity to focus on big names first.

It wouldn’t be about money, no. Though we’d pay him plenty in that scenario

they'd probably go after Kiffin

To be honest, that would be scary as hell with the skill position talent he'd rack up.

But, I imagine a confluence of attitudes that would make it an 80s-90s Miami type of "swagga" in Red Stick.

Great football, extraordinary talent, and assholery all around.
