3 National Championships in that time frame, 5 Sec championships, but sure lets call the last one a one hit wonder

That doesn’t really make sense for LSU...The graphic says “since 2000”

LSU has 3 national titles and a 4th title game appearance since 2000.

I mean I guess LSU is a 3-hit wonder since 2000??

One hit wonders are fantastic.

But I often forget about them.

Interesting they didn't pick the season where A&M finished highest during the time frame.

If you hit 2019 LSU with that moniker, why not 2013 Florida State as well? Or 2005 Texas?

I guess the argument is that 2019 LSU won differently from other LSU squads and was also a cut above even the 2003, 2007, and 2011 teams.

Won Nattys from 2003, 2007, and 2019 - played in Natty in 2011.

I'll bite. LSU went 10-3 in 2018. Finished 6 in AP and 7 in Coaches. Guess going from top 10 to National Champ makes you a one hit wonder.

I mean when you have a GOAT season like 2019 LSU had, I can see calling it a 1 hit wonder, not sure if that will ever be duplicated to the degree that was, until of course we continue to add more games

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen on the rant.

Here are a few examples:

2019 Baylor

So the 2019 Baylor team that finished ranked #13 was a "One Hit Wonder" despite the fact that it finished exactly #13 also in 2011, 2013, and 2015.... not to mention a #7 finish in 2014.

Somehow finishing in the Top 13 in 2019 is the "One Hit Wonder" despite the fact that they also did it 4 other times in just a 9-year period. Sure. Okay.

2019 LSU

Okay, so LSU doesn't win a National Title EVERY YEAR. Well neither does Alabama or Clemson. But during this very time period of 2000-2020, LSU has not one but TWO additional National Titles (2003 & 2007).... not to mention a total of seven seasons in which they finished in the AP Top 6.

2010 Auburn

Again, yes Auburn had ONE National Title during the period, so I guess if you want to call it a "One Hit Wonder" you could. But so did Oklahoma (2000), Miami (2001), Texas (2005) and Florida State (2013).... why aren't those teams "One Hit Wonders" on this list?? Oh, was it because they played for other National Titles during the period? Well so did Auburn. They played in another Title game just three years later in 2013.... not to mention a third Top 2 finish during the period back in 2004.

I'm not sure 247Sports knows what a "One Hit Wonder" really is. Several of these are quite a stretch.

Lets see...

“Can’t Touch This” MC Hammer

“Ice Ice Baby” Vanilla Ice

“2019 LSU Tigers” Ed Orgeron

Yeah, it fits and feels appropriate

MEH !

LSU with three natty's this century. Only two of the teams listed actually won natty's. I mean every season is a one hit season. It's the only season played that year. So kinda dumb all in all.
