He cost himself big bucks coming out this year. He was primed to have a Q Williams type year next season and now here he is falling to the Second Round'
He knows he's better than some of the dweebs that got picked ahead of him. Hopefully he learns a lesson from it and plays to his capability all the time. He always plays hard, just not always with discipline.

Lmao. Bruh we had at least two opt outs that fricked their draft status. Shelvin sticks out in my mind. Marshall I bet lost first round status by quitting midseason

You are right. He had a big title game and probably thought he would try to ride that momentum to a 1rd draft pick. But this happens to a lot of kids every year sadly. It’s time for the NCAA to change that rule and let these guys come back to school if they don’t get drafted where they think they will. They do it in other sports why not football.

It's true after the fact, but he had a late 1st round grade.
It's a gamble. He lost. Coming back and getting injured is also a risk.

Bama was going to pay 1st round money when the NFL would only give him 2nd round?
Im sure he his paychecks and earlier 2nd contract (when the real money is made) will make him feel better.

Kinda hard to imagine that a guy that got 8 sacks from the DT position on the national championship team, which beat 3 of the final top 5, didn't get picked in first round. Especially when you got teams taking all these project DEs in the first round. Barmore is going to be a nightmare on the inside in the nfl

They were talking about him in the last few days on GMFB. Attitude issues is what is costing him money. I don't think coming back would have changed that.

Bingo and he should have applied himself ALL the time he was there.

You can rest assured that coach Saban sent the warning some time ago. He was developing but just too inconsistent as a redshirt Sophomore. We always seem to have guys that do this in spite of better advice from the boss and NFL. Ronnie Harrison comes to mind very quickly.

High second is better than low first.
First round has the fifth year option. He can get to the second contract quicker which is where the real money is earned.

Dude the 2nd round isn’t terrible. Who’s to say he would’ve improved his stock?
He had every reason to believe that this year was the year to go. It just didn’t pan out. It happens
