“When determining where championships are held, NCAA policy directs that only locations where hosts can commit to providing an environment that is safe, healthy and free of discrimination should be selected,” the NCAA said in a statement. “We will continue to closely monitor these situations to determine whether NCAA championships can be conducted in ways that are welcoming and respectful of all participants.”

Would affect the two MS schools, Arkansas, and TN. Could mean no hosting.

Ah yes, the NCAA, no one loves and protects athletes more than them.

The Final Four is slated to be in New Orleans next year. And the Legislature is set to debate several such bills in the legislative session that began today. #lalege #lagov

So is the ncaa going to allow men to compete in women's sports? If so, will they allow the record book to be rewritten? How about a record book for men, women and other?

I honestly hope some small schools decides to fill its entire women's basketball roster up with males and watch them dominate. I guarantee you it would cause an uproar among women groups and eventually the NCAA.

The Title IX implications would be hilarious.

Biggest piece of shits are the athletes only changing gender so they can win.

How fricked up must these people be on the inside to do that?

Title IX conflicts with the NCAA's statement, as Title IX specifically says "sex" and not this whole "gender is a state of mind" bullshite. NCAA is venturing into dangerous grounds.

So if colleges follow suit and begin allowing transgender competition with their identifying sex how many of you will just give it up all together?

I can't wait to get some of these Caitlyn Jenners competing against the women in the D1 soon.

Are the people who claim to be women walking around with a set of nuts.
If so lose them or you can’t complete.

We continue to spend so much time, effort, and resources on things that affect such an insignificant percentage of the population (in this case about 0.6%).

In one major study, 13.5% of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans screened positive for PTSD, while others show the rates to be as high as 20% to 30%. About 11% of the adult homeless population are veterans.

I don't recall such public outrage or corporate support for people who served our country, and need help.

Previously it was the confederate flag in the corner of the state flag. Now it's the gender issue.

At what point does someone get in front of the TV and say "Who gives a shite because no one is holding a championship in Jackson or Biloxi"

40 years ago this was considered freakish and insane. Now its the ‘norm” which we all must embrace and celebrate or be damned. We’ve come a long way baby!

If we were a nation that cared about the rule of law, this would be a non-starter, but here we are. Laws are merely slectively applied these days.

I think the real number is much smaller than this. I can't say I've ever met someone who even so much as claims to be trans-gendered yet apparently they make up 6 out of every 1000 people? Nah, not buying it.
