First team Alabama versus second string Alabama

Mizzou vs Kansas will go down as one of the greatest rivalries between two of the most storied football programs of all time.

This. Always. Even when the barn sucks.
In 2021, they'll suck badly and won't be able to give us a game but watch in 2022 even with a mediocre to half decent team they will fight Alabama with everything they have.

Alabama has no rivals...only nuisances.

I’m gonna say the Mississippis. It reminds me of our series with Louisville. People just get pissy. And no, that pun really isn’t intended.

I can't include the Iron Bowl as Auburn fired Gus and the new coach is a bit of a mystery right now.
So, you really think the Iron Bowl rivalry is less intense at the moment because we just fired Gus and you are not informed enough about Coach Harsin?
Really?

I'm sure Aggy would rather just say 2 of the last 3 and forget that the other games this century ever happened.
LSU sure as hell doesn't want to talk about losing 5 in a row and cancelling the series in the '90s either because they got tired of getting their arse kicked.
As for the OP, easy answer is the Iron Bowl but lots of nasty rivalries out there and plenty of hate.
A&M and Texas hate each other so much we refuse to play anymore. When they do end up playing in a bowl game at some point it's going to be insane and tickets will probably start at $1000.

If it were as simple as LSU being "tired of getting their arse kicked" as you claim, then why did LSU also drop the annual series with Tulane (a series with 98 meetings dating back to 1893) around the same time? Tulane has beaten LSU exactly 4 times since 1949 so dropping that game certainly had nothing to do with being scared.
It had everything to do with the changing economics of college football but you already knew that.
It sucks for fans who enjoy matchups with OOC opponents not named Lower Directional Backwater U. But schools (LSU is far from alone) are going to maximize revenue in the college football arms race.

All I know is"
Ole Miss fans are obsessed with signing day flipping of State recruits. They are happy for months when it happens. They get giggly.
It can be a three star nobody developmental player and it will make them as happy as getting a legit 4 star elsewhere.
They even flipped one last year and then wouldn't give him a scholarship. So:
GO TO HELL OLE MISS!!!

That could not have been Kiffin. IF he had flipped him, you would have thought it would have at least gave him a scholarship.
That had to be Ole Miss booster money going for nothing. If Kiffin didn't want him, he was most likely a long shot to play anyway.

My vote goes to LSU-Florida. There are lots of great rivalries, but you can find things that take some of the steam out of them right now-
Miss State/Ole Miss is usually not ranked teams; LSU-Alabama and LSU/A&M have not been competitive over the past decade, etc.
LSU-Florida is still a reasonable tossup year to year, and at least one is going to be ranked high and playing for a big bowl or conference championship.
I think Auburn swapping out coaches takes a bit out of the Iron Bowl.

That is my feeling as well. Harsin has to actually beat Bama before anyone will take him seriously.

The correct answer is always Alabama/Auburn. Everyone is trying to be different for the sake of being different, but it's always the Iron Bowl. Is it currently as hot as it can be? No, but only because AU just fired the coach with the most success against Saban, and then followed it up with hiring an unproven coach with zero buzz that can't recruit a four star athlete. Things can turn quickly, especially if Coach WhatsHisName can manage to be competitive.

Well, since we've owned the deed to your arses for over a century now, yes, yes we all know it IS: GE0RGIA-florida.

The Iron Bowl only became a national spectacle in the last 10 years or so. It wasn't always must see tv like it has been lately, so I disagree with your "always" statement.
