Alabama is plodding slowly through their vaccination program. I've been checking many counties an got an appointment for today at 10:15, two counties and 60 miles away. Got there at 9, signed in, and was vaccinated and on my way home by 9:45. I go back April 7 for shot #2.

I was able to get mine because I qualified under care giver status for elderly mother.

It was a category of those listed when the 1st shots came out.

Got discharged from Vanderbilt Univ Med Center last week after an insane battle with Covid Pneumonia in both lungs. 5 rounds of remdesever, plasma from covid survivors, steroids, and 15 litres of 02.

Covid sucks and damn near killed me. 02 concentration got under 80.

My wife is a nurse and got her 2nd shot about 4 weeks ago. About 6 hours after the first shot, she had weird tingling/numbness in her hands and feet for about 2-3 days, but then it went away. But about 8 hours after her 2nd shot, she got very painful/burning sciatica from lower back down to behind her knees. And this didn’t subside for about 3 weeks. Several days she could barely walk or stand up straight. Tried a physical therapist, didn’t help. Tried a chiropractor, didn’t help. Pretty much 3 weeks of agonizing misery.

And my wife is only 50, coaches crossfit classes 4 days a week, runs marathons, basically a fitness/health nut... and has never had sciatic issues before.

Needless to say, our 2 kids and myself are not taking this thing until we’re absolutely forced to. Hopefully by then they’ve worked out the bugs.

Did she get Moderna? We all got Pfizer and not a single complaint.

Glad you're okay, bro. Sounds awful.

Just got my first Pfizer shot at VUMC yesterday.

I got my first back on 4 March. No issues. #2 is on 1 April. I'm 65 on the 9th of April.

Dude, that sucks. Glad you made it through. Were you in a risk group if you don’t mind me asking?
