Other than a little extra weight, not really, went through my wife's work and I got it at my own house.

Its really out there now no matter what the news says. I would get the vaccine at the first opportunity.

I know none of us are doctors or experts in this. So probably asking the wrong crowd ;-)
But hey doesn't hurt to ask

But my wife has Crohn's disease. She has already had a few surgeries for it. Its an auto immune deficiency.

Do you guys know or know someone with Crohn's that has been able to get a Vaccine. She is by definition in a high risk category but have not seen it listed.. She is in her late 40s..

Did she get Moderna? We all got Pfizer and not a single complaint.
Wellstar did Pfizer. And I don’t think they had a choice. Pfizer is the only company that didn’t accept any gov’t funding, which is interesting. I don’t know if that is good or bad, depending on where they did get their funding.

I have a friend who took the 1st Moderna shot and he had temporary facial paralysis and a migraine for nearly 12 hours. His doctors initially thought he had a stroke, but after testing they said he didn’t and could only attribute it to the vaccine shot. He's declining to take the 2nd shot as a result. He’s a 65yo retired general practitioner, but otherwise in pretty good shape, too.

So side effects aren’t just happening with one company. I just don’t trust this stuff yet. I’m still trying to find out what companies that lunatic Bill Gates is involved with. Something is really not right about that guy and his wife.

I know but side effects with the moderna vaccine have been much more frequent and severe. I'm not smart enough to understand mRNA vaccines and how they work. My wife refused it at work.

Sounds like your family has had a rough couple of months. I wish you guys the best.

I spent the last part of covid in Florida and already got both vaccine shots. I got Moderna and had no real issues other than sore arm. Florida is kicking arse getting folks vaccinated. My friend who is a Lung Doc was on the vax trials and he said its much safer to take the vax than it is to get Covid. Statistically speaking. He got it, which made me feel better.

My inlaws got moderna and it kicked their butts. Just exhaustion (no energy) for over a week. Sore arm for a few days.

I have p1 if Phizer. Just sore arm for half a day so far. The 2nd moderna shot is the killer from what ive heard. It will be interesting when i go in for p2 of phizer at the end of this month.

The side effects from The shot are nothing compared to full on covid.

Meeting with the chaplain, giving them my living will, and telling them no ventilator was a hell of a wake up call. Telling my wife she may have to get arrested dumping my ashes in the student end zone in Sanford was the only enjoyable part.

People can deal with the side effects.

Depends on the individual. My step mom ended up in the hospital after her second vaccination. Most of the people I know personally that had COVID were fine after a couple days of cough, sore throat and diarrhea.

Not trying to discount what you went through because I’m sure it was horrible, but when covid went through my house (all 4 of us tested positive) I was the only one with symptoms and that was just bad fatigue for about 5-6 days.

Although I still think my wife had covid back in Nov 2019. She violently coughed nearly 24/7 for about 10 weeks with small random fevers and strange fatigue that would come and go. But the gov’t assures us patient zero was in January 2020 in Wuhan, ya know. I still call bullshite and am certain it was already here by summer of 2019.

ANYWAY... she contends that her 3 weeks of sciatica, which we’re pretty certain was from the vaccine, was even more debilitating and painful than child berth, which she endured twice. I mean there were days where she was balling just trying to get out of bed. And my wife is tough as nails so I know it had to be really bad.

Just sayin, there’s a wide range of severity with both covid and the vaccine side effects. Experiences can differ greatly.

Huh?

She got the shots in her arm. Sciatica is nerve pain from the L5 vertebrae that goes down each butt cheek and down the back of your legs (ie. the sciatic nerve).

Location of the shot had nothing to do with it. Apparently the vaccine is doing something to people’s sheathing that covers nerves. This is why a lot of people are feeling numbness in limbs, or even temporary paralysis.

I turned 66 on Feb 5th. Got my first shot of Moderna vaccine on Jan 27. Nothing other than a sore arm for a couple of days. Second dose came on Feb 26th. Took the shot at 10 am. Late afternoon had a very sore arm and a nagging headache but nothing terrible. 3 am the next morning woke up with the worst headache I've ever had but it only lasted about 2 hours. Felt lethargic most of that day and the next. Fine by day 3. My youngest is an internal medicine doc and I questioned him heavily about taking it. He insisted and I did.

We all mean well but I would not trust a laymans comment. Talk to her doctor about it.

Probably but there really aren't any guarantees that you'll have any kind of immunity. Six of us went and got antibodies tested 4 weeks after the second vaccine and two of us didn't have them. The four that had antibodies already had covid. The other nurse and I that were negative for antibodies never had covid. I'm not sure if these mRNA vaccines just give you instructions and you just make antibodies when you're exposed or if the vaccine just didn't work for the two of us.

Can’t argue that one either way. None of our options were clear and easy throughout this whole ordeal and they still are not.

We got our 2nd dose of Moderna 2 weeks ago today. I was fine on both other than a sord arm.

1st didnt bother my wife but a lil soreness, 24 hrs to the second after the 2nd she got a mild case of the chills for about 90 minutes, she laid down on sofa and covered up for a while to get warm then was fine...
