The better comparison would be 2019 LSU and 2019 Alabama.

2016 Ole Miss
AJ Brown
DK Metcalf
Evan Engram
Dawson Knox
Damore'ea Stringfellow
Van Jefferson (transferred to Florida next year)
Quincy Adeboyejo
Damarkus Lodge
edit: Of course we didn't do shite with five NFL players in our receiving corp so what does it matter

I agree.
Smith was the best college player out of the group, but 2019 Alabama receivers were better overall than their 2020 group.

2019 LSU had better receivers
2020 Alabama had a better RB
2020 Alabama had better OL
2020 Alabama had easier schedule, IMO (frick you if you disagree)
Obvious response thread, though.

2020 LSU's biggest accomplishment was fricking up Alabama's SoS by sucking all year, but managing to beat UF.

LSU and Auburn not being as good as usual definitely hurt Bama when comparing their schedule to other great teams.

Expecting LSU fans to be objective when it comes to Alabama players, especially in head to head comparisons, is kind of...unreliable?

The answer is LSU. Not even being biased, any other year I'd say you guys have better receivers.

All will be revealed in time.

Yeah, and it still leans a little LSU.
What a freakshow of a group for both teams though. Out of those WR depth charts for both teams from 2019, I'm willing to bet you'll have 5 receivers that will spend multiple seasons as #1 targets for their teams.

And the crazy part is Chase sat out the whole year and Smith killed it and won the Heisman and Chase will still be drafted ahead of him. This tells you the unreal talent on both teams at WR. Two teams in the SEC mind you

That must make the rest of the P5 conferences cringe!

Maybe. It might be a wild draft.
