Mond wasn't excellent, but he was a veteran QB. So does jimbo exceed last year's performance or does he take a step or two back until the new starting QB has some experience?
Last year was a good year for the aggies

Not if they don’t get dynamic QB play. 2019 and 2029 Alabama offenses were so dominant because burrow and Mac never had a bad game. The defenses certainly weren’t up to usual standards.

Unlikely. They needed at tipped pass Td to beat a 6 win Gus team. Got out of a loss to Ole Miss late in the season. Star won't align for Aggies to get to 2nd in the West again.

If he couldn't do it with an 8 year senior in Mond, he sure as hell ain't doing it with a freshman.

Who knows.
Aggies like to brag about Jimbo being a great coach but I'm not really sure what he's done outside of his 2013 title run.
It was all downhill at Florida State from there. Basically, he's proven about as much as O.

since you ask, and it's not intended as trash talk, but I think they'll beat LSU and lose a close one to Alabama.

If Georgia doesn't win it next year, they never will

Nope, 2020 was his chance. New QB, no way.

What is the Lemon Bowl? It’s hard to say until we get about 4 games into 2021. Sort of like the 2019 LSU team. Everyone was like “yeah sure this is the year” then it happened.
Short answer, is A&M capable? Sure. They’re one of probably 5 or 6 sec teams that have the firepower to get it done if everything aligns for them and they get hot.

OL is a bigger issue than QB. Hard to replace 4 starters and not see a drop off. Mond was limited despite his experience. Our OL was exceptional last year which covered for Monds weaknesses.
The thing people are overlooking about us next year is our defense. They have a legit chance to be the best in the SEC. We only lost 2 significant contributors from a very good 2020 defense.

No, but they'll have better QB play with mond gone.

His offense is too outdated to win big games and out score the teams with better schemes. But they will keep steady at 3rd in the west. Maybe tie for 2nd in years lsu loses to Florida.

Getting it done means:
1. beating Alabama.
That is a tough task.
2. Winning SECCG
Likely against GA, again another tough task.
Texas A&M looks well poised, but the step from where they are now to where they want to be is pretty steep.
Get really good qb play (edit- and I doubt you get that without really stout oline) and I think it is possible --- just not that likely without it.
