What year was the best for the SEC as a conference that you can remember.

The conference as a whole has been stacked for awhile now with a lot of good teams. But what year was the best with whole lot of teams being real good?
For me it’s 2011.
LSU ,Alabama, UGA, Arkansas, Florida, AU,
Ole miss, and South Carolina were all ranked I believe at one point in time or finished ranked. Such a fun year for me except the ending. But it was basically the conference beating each other up and who was left standing. Great quality of teams.

Yep. Because the SEC is better when South Carolina is good.
And better with Stephen Garcia.

2010 in the west was pretty good, Auburn, LSU, Arky, and Alabama all had really good teams.

For baseball wouldn’t it be 2011 also?
3 teams went to the final 4 of the CWS with SC winning it all over UF.

I’d also say 2007 deserves some consideration.
#1 and #2 in the final rankings were from the SEC, and three additional teams finished in the top 15.
Eta: several others were ranked at some point, including Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, etc.

From top to bottom, it was 2014. 12/14 teams finished the season with winning records and there were competitive games between ranked opponents pretty much every week.

We finished 2-10, fired Nutt and hired Freeze after the season

How can you not pick 2014? Lot of ranked teams and just about everyone had winning records.

The year when Ole Miss and Miss State were actually good and ranked.

Yes 2011. Somewhere near the end of the season we had:
#1 LSU
#2 Bama
#3 Arkansas
and a ton of SEC teams were ranked. That will probably never happen again.

It's been said, but 2010 was by far the best for the SEC West.
Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, and State all finished ranked in the top 15 of the AP.
All 5 teams' losses only came inside of the division.
