FWIW I said 6-4 on rant and everyone got mad at me. Regardless, down years happen when you’re at the top. Maybe Aggie will win the big game one day in your life.

Sucks that the best season in modern Aggy history won’t even get you a playoff game

Nobody predicted Bo Pelini would be THIS bad. With a good D coordinator, we have one loss right now.

To be fair, 8-2 was very attainable if LSU would've fielded a halfway decent defense and had not lost Brennan.

Not a single person anywhere expected LSU's defense to be as bad as its been.

Most reasonable LSU fans I know expected 2-4 losses, 3 was the most common prediction.

I personally expected to lose to Alabama, Florida, and either A&M or Auburn.

Yea I think overall most LSU fans thought 7-3 would have been a very successful year. It’s impossible to fault LSU fans for not thinking we would lose to Miss state and Missouri.

So if your defense went from historically bad to okay. That’s a pretty big Ask.

So there are pretty much no reasonable Lsu fans on here. That checks out

My point was that no one expected LSU's defense to be historically bad, I really don't understand why it is to be honest.

Very normal for teams that aren't accustomed to being at the top to fall quickly. Kind of like a ham sandwich at a banquet is LSU.

Isn’t this Bama’s 13th year in a row to have been #1 at some point in the season?

Thats a lot of work for a team your fans say they don't care about.

Stick to the brisket talk, I like you better when talking food.

Ah, yes. Going from an arguably top 10 team of all time to falling off the face of the earth is totally normal.

I think most of them
... that didn't post in that thread thought 7/8 wins in the regular was achievable which is true most years. Good many disappeared after the Missouri loss, similar to Bama fans after Auburn last year.

This.

There were 37 LSU fans that posted a prediction and now we’re expected to believe that’s the sentiment of the entire fan base.

Alabama follows up national championships with top 10 finishes at minimum.

LSU follows up national championships by finishing unranked

Par for the course really. A final #16 ranking outlier is the only thing keeping them from being 3 for 3 in going from the heights of college football to obscurity in a single year each modern season.
