Saban won them though. His chinese bandits in '58 were fun to watch.

So are we talking about the past?

we can talk about the past, in which case LSU is just behind UGA and just ahead of Auburn in total wins and SEC titles

Or we can talk about the present, in which case LSU is one of the worst teams in the conference

Now I'm just an uneducated, sidewalk fan but it looks to me as if Michigan is actually beating Alabama in 2 of his 3 indicators yet he claims they arent in the same tier.

So National Championships don't matter? Why do you keep touting Alabama's then?

Michigan historically is a great program. Not many national titles in the poll era but a great program nontheless.

And what?

But according to your ever changing metrics you are using to only trash LSU for some reason, they are currently worse than LSU and should be ridiculed, correct?

Sure, national titles matter. It clearly separates Alabama from LSU, which was the original post to which I responded.

Short of looking it up I think LSU has 4 national titles in the poll era, UGA and UT have 2. So obviously LSU is ahead of both those programs in that respect.

On the other hand, both UGA and UT have won more games and more SEC titles than LSU so it's kind of a wash, which is exactly why I said that LSU, UGA and UT are peers.

You clearly blacked out because that was the recurring theme for days and weeks after the championship.

I don't really know how many games Michigan or LSU has this year but I do know that the past few years they have sucked.

And what?

So Michigan and Alabama are in the same tier then.

By your criteria.

So do you think both of those programs would choose having a higher aggregate of empty victories over the number of championships LSU has won since you are telling me all of those metrics are equal?

So when this so cold bad 3 win team beats you on Saturday, what will the excuse be?

I’ll hang up and listen.

Michigan has more conference titles and wins than Alabama yet he insists they aren't on Alabama's tier due only to championships.

Interesting.

total wins Michigan is historically the best program in all the land

National titles in the poll era it's Alabama and Notre Dame

I guess one could stretch it and say that Michigan is a peer with Notre Dame and Alabama. You can say that if you want to. It's cool.

LSU, though, is not a peer of Alabama. LSU has won more poll era titles than UGA and UT but both those programs have won more SEC titles and more games, and this year, right now in the present, UGA is better than LSU

Other than the fact you are an ignorant and uneducated sidewalk fan, I'm not sure why you struggle so much with these simple facts.

edit to add that, in the playoff era, UGA has won the same number of SEC titles as LSU

Fell short of the presesaon expectations for sure. Underachieved in a big way. Would think if any fanbase could understand, it'd be Aggie.

No. When was that?

I do, however, recall UGA fans every year predicting national titles and playoff appearances. Oof

Remember when Aggie won the NC? No you weren't born.

You will also die and never see it.

If not for Saban building the program Les Miles would never have won a national title

It sounds like what you’re saying is that the LSU program has had sustained success over the last 20 years while also saying that LSU is awful in the BCS / playoff era.
