I know a lot of State fans were glad to see him go.

He has been a revelation at Oregon as a play caller. The offensive state are gaudy with 5 new OL and a qb.

Curious what y’all think his problem was at State. I heard a bunch of fans say State had no offensive identity.

So when Muschamp looks good as a DC again are we going to say why would he have a problem as HC at South Carolina or Florida?

Quite frankly its as simple as he wasnt HC material just like Muschamp.

The accountability that the Mullen regime had was all gone within 2 years under Moorhead.

It will always be embarrassing to have your starting QB miss a game because he got injured in a team fight during practice under his watch

My question is specifically about offensive identity. I definitely think he has a culture issue but he was a successful HC at Fordham.

He played fast and athletic defenses in the SEC. Just like what’s happening to Leach right now.

You need to give Leach time.

Didn't Chad Morris saying something about needed more time on offense to Arkansas?

He was a horrible culture fit. Didn't play to his teams strengths. He had a running QB and tried to turn him into a gunslinger and refused to adapt

He also told boosters, fans and administration to "pound sand" if they didn't like how he was running things. He is a complete dipshit as a head coach

Yeah but at Leach's last stop his teams sucked for the first 3 years and then they became a conference contender after that. It probably wont take 3 years for State but I think it will come. Even with how State is now they arent close to being as bad as Leach's first Wazzu teams.

If Drinkwitz can make adjustments and get players to fit in his system and win games. He has been a HC for only less than 2 years and less than a year at Missouri. He's a lot better than Leach!

Did you watch any MSU games? He does the same or simliar play calling and schemes are not complicated and are few as other teams keep changing schemes. Also he couldn't get the offense going and he has been a HC for a very long time and that is not acceptable. That is on the HC and he sucks.

Moorhead wanting to run his RPO offense. The problem was he had QBs that couldn't pass and WRs that couldn't catch. So all he had was RO offense with no P but Mullen left him a great D.

Some coaches are just good coordinators. Moorhead is just a good coordinator.

I will give that leach has had some relative success as a head coach. And at the minimum, a good enough head coach to to have 20 years under his belt.

His offense is gimmicky and yet to prove to have staying power in a major conference....but he’s at least proven himself to be more than just an OC.

This thread complimented Mullen for building a solid program but doesn’t acknowledge that he’s the reason for not having a worthy passer and WR Corp.

Mullen was never able to recruit a solid wr Corp. He would have one decent guy and that’s about it.

Costello and that WR unit can’t beat the zone. Wait till he has some zone beaters and a qb that can feather the ball in between the 2nd third level. That’s not Costello’s strength. In about year 3 the OL basically stonewalls the pass rush.

Washington always beat Wazzu because their defense couldn’t get off the field and Pullman is sleet and rain in November. I am preempting that talk.

Oregon is more talented than their competition. MSU was not.
