Henig has my vote. I had classes with him and the defensive players would pelt him with spitballs during class. He would always get pissed off and whine about it in front of everyone. Anthony Dixon actually had to intervene in the middle of class because Henig almost got his arse whipped for bitching at the defense over the spitballs. Those defensive players backed down in a hurry when Dixon stepped up. No one respected Henig.

Funny, I was thinking of Relf throughout this game...like "damn, member when Relf ran all over OM."

Seeing this team and his career as a student has been one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed. I don't know how previous students survived through 4 win seasons
I graduated in 2010 and I felt that way about Dixon's career. He's not even in the same category as Dak, but I know exactly what you mean about following a player through his entire career as a student. Dixon will probably always be my favorite Dawg.

guess he could be seen as a bit of a tweener
Wasn't Thomas Davis around 6'1" 225 at Georgia? He got drafted as a safety by Carolina, I think. Eventually converted to LB and is still in the league.
Hopefully teams will see that as precedent for an undersized "tweener" LB to be a valuable draft pick.

was in Washington, D.C. I consider washington Yankee. I was drooling. Like seriously, expensive, all that political bs, I don't care, I want to live there now. Like I saw more 9s and 10s in a couple of days of just walking around than i saw in the street in like 2-3 years.
Yep. I live in DC. Walk to work everyday. :nana:

Not a Texans fan, but I live in DC so I've seen every Ravens game this year (he is currently Ravens OC).
Kubiak is a finesse coach who prefers the running game. I noticed that his zone run scheme is solid and big plays are to be had in the play action game. The problem is, its a soft run game. Linemen are small and agile (good between the 20's) but they cannot bow up in short yardage situations. There are also droughts where the offense will go an entire quarter without a first down. In week 17, he had a 3rd & Goal and a 4th & Goal from the 1, and on consecutive plays he tried to pull linemen...stuffed both times obviously; so he can make some headscratching calls.
Having said that, Flacco has posted his best-ever numbers as a pro under Kubiak. Justin Forsette is leading the NFL in yds per carry. There are tangible positives, but I prefer a more physical style of offensive football fwiw.

I specifically remember the long walk back to my apartment...hearing both fan bases bitch about their offensive coordinators at their tailgate spots. :yack:

When did you sour on him?
MSU vs LSU 2011, down 13 pts in Q4 with 3 mins left & Mullen quits by running out the clock. That was the death of "relentless effort".
...Also disagree with his tendency to needlessly burn redshirts.

It is really nice to see all these tall receivers going up and making plays. Looking forward to seeing them progress...

Yeah, dude. Codling was my all-time favorite. Definitely Canadian and crazy as hell. He threw a full piece of chalk from the front of the room over our heads and watched it explode against the back wall just to make a point. He's unpredictable!
