Living and dying by sandlot football can be entertaining, but it’s an aggravating thing to deal with every week as a fan.

I remember him scrawny drug addict that was a wannabe thug. Medium arm and played high. He was toxic to your locker room wasn’t he?

Someone posted a graphic after the DK Metcalf incident the other day (when we found out the truth of him being an alien life form) of the 5-6 players in NFL combine history over 225 lbs that ran sub 4.4 and Matt Jones was on that list. Insane. There is no way that I’ve seen any football player at any level with longer strides that Matt Jones. How else do you run like Usain Bolt while looking like a slow-arse white baw?

Matt jones lives in my nightmares, in my dreams the wind up to throw is even slower ,and were even closer to getting to him then we were in games ,then I wake up, or it's a td for hogs and I wake up. I hated that dude

Matt Jones never deserved the talent God gave him

He was a lazy arse spoiled brat who never improved his passing progression one solid inch in four years

Yeah, Jones was a monster. Dude torched Auburn on the regular.

Watching some of that video reminded me of how much I can't stand Houston Butt. Not sure I can point to something specific that runs me the wrong way about him, but he just seems like such a slime ball. Seeing him run down the sideline after those TDs is just cringe worthy.

I remember that he always usually torched us when he played. He played in the 7 OT against Eli and company. I was in Fayetteville in 2004 when he ripped off a 72 yd run and dunked the ball over the crossbar after scoring. You bet I remember!

I remember the Jags using a 1st round pick on him as a WR just because he ran a fast 40 smh

He was good college QB

He was fast. Tebow bulldozed people like a FB. Made 3rd and 3 or so automatic basically

Of course. Isn't he still playing tight end for the Jags?

I remember him. Wasn't he the quarterback for Ark v OM in the 7 OT game with Eli? (Didn't read the whole thread)

Yes. He was an amazing athlete at QB but couldn't throw. I remember the miracle on markham where he competed maybe 3 passes all game but made the one that mattered to Decoro Birmingham in the corner of the end zone to beat LSU. That loss made that Thanksgiving day suck as a kid for me. To this day that was one of the hardest LSU losses I have ever felt and I am 46 now.
