Arkansas won’t face a defense as good as Georgia’s except Alabama. That said, offense needs to find some rhythm in the running game for Arkansas to have a shot.

Our secondary was the most impressive part of the defense imo so maybe we can keep it interesting

I would take Miss St to cover. They will attack us over the middle all game long

One thing I don't want to see is any of our linebackers in man coverage

Shallow crosses killed LSU all day. What do you think they're going to do to our slow arse LBers?
Odom better play 7 or 8 DBs and drop a couple in the middle to give our defense any shot. I think he's good at scheming against the spread. I hope he watches every Washington v. Wazzu game and copy Peterson's plan. I don't think the Pirate ever beat him.

Rush 3 drop 8. They talked all offseason about playing 6 DBs so this might be that game to actually do it.

I'll take Miss State to cover and the under.

been thinking this all night to myself.
I think we have a shot as long as we play multiple safeties/DBs instead of LBs.
also we better rush more than 3 over and over. that was the bert technique. please God do not do the bend don't break shite against this offense. that is how you get killed by letting them move the ball down the field. have to have an exotic zone blitz package ready to throw off the QB.

horrid strategy. we will fricking all lose our collective shite when we never get to the QB, and let them complete 70+% of passes like the bert days.
have to use zone blitzes to get pressure, and leave some gaps here and there. just have to get home when we do, and mix them up regularly to throw the qb off rather.
then when its 4th and short. we better run some 0 coverage man, and play physical as hell on the outside.

I feel good about this one. It’s fricking state. They aren’t an elite team. Sure they’re a little more talented than us but they’ll have a hangover and the big head.
Classic leach. Win one you shouldn’t then lay an egg.

We’ll 100% get torched if we try to blitz State to death. You beat the air raid by flooding the field with more defenders than receivers. Now we don’t have the DL yet that Washington had but that’s exactly how they’ve consistently beat Leach at Wazzu and what LSU didn’t do this weekend.

Eh, LSU tried this at times and it killed them because State has a very smart QB that knows exactly where he needs to throw the ball after he sees the blitz. You don't want to give him the same look all day but Washington by far had the most success against Leach and they relied on the rush 3 approach heavily.

We got torched by UGAs 4th string QB.
Afraid this one is going to be ugly.

Keep betting against the hogs until the lines adjust
a 17 point spread (its up to 18 on most books) is nothing for a Leach offense.
14 of that could hit in the first quarter before we make a first down.

Rush 3 drop 8.
We don't have the speed on the back end to do this, State's QB would just sit back there and take his time picking us apart - especially if we play with a 10yd cushion on the LOS with our CBs.
Bring 3 DL with a 4th LB playing about a yard off the line, blitz that LB every so often to keep a man on the OL basically dedicated to spying him but mostly drop him back into zone coverage between the hashes.
That'll keep one of their OL on their toes to watch for the random edge blitz and possibly get a surprise sack or two, but mostly take up that center lane between the hashes so we're not dinked-and-dunked to death and it clogs the crossing route lanes a bit.
