If players start getting paid for their image and likeness what programs stand to gain

I am going to go with large market schools...So. Cal...UCLA will be at the top but other large market areas will also benefit. If they are allowed to do endorse dealerships and things of that nature...the big money will come from the larger markets....I think states with only one power 5 school should be OK...but in states with more than one power 5 or power 5's in rural areas will feel the blunt of the 5 star exodus to larger markets....those kids will follow the money. I could be wrong but it seems reasonable...

I mean kids should do what’s best for them, so why not follow the money

Oregon and Maryland are already benefiting

What stops Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, or Ed O from getting a booster to give a Local Business $500,000 to give to a player to do a commercial for them if they come to said school?

This will be about exposure i.e.TV ratings. Bama vs creampuff won't get you paid except chump change in Alabama. LSU vs Texas with a national TV audience will. The shoe companies will be unleaded.

When that kid comes in and either a. Doesn’t live up to the hype or b. Does something stupid off the field.
Thing about under the table shite is it was free from public scrutiny. Having an actual business endorse a high school kid and in turn letting that kid endorse your business can cut both ways: it could help your sales but it could also make you out to be an a-hole. Question is who has boosters willing to take a $500k bath and incur the public scrutiny?
On another note, would business owners want to pay a kid in Alabama who goes to Auburn or Tennessee or LSU and risk pissing off their Alabama fan customers?

Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Gatorade, Powerade, Muscle Milk, etc are the real game changers here. They’ll be the ones signing high profile high school kids because they have the clout and the resources to take those risks.
On a local level, I think boosters will change things with the 3rd year kid who is considering going pro to make money for his family. At that point, you’re making a relatively risk free investment into a proven commodity to directly aid the program. Much higher chance of ROI in that case

It won’t change much. A program can only buy so many players. The market value hasn’t been set.

Don’t be stupid! I’ve probably got socks older than you. I’ve worked in the public and private sectors. I know how shite works.
The money is flowing now. It’s just being legitimized. The “haves“ will have more and the “have nots” will still suck hind tit. The open market will determine a players value. Stars will get compensated more.

The programs with more passionate fan bases (Alabama, LSU, OSU football etc... Kentucky and Duke in basketball) will do better with this kind of revenue for players, even not being in major media centers.
The rich will get richer

Alabama will do quite well with no pro teams.

I feel like Oregon will be a powerhouse with this. Practically unlimited revenue.

How many boosters do you think Bama has that will drop/can drop 500k to compensate for player images.
Bama has the passion but will ultimately lose out to those with both passion and finances.

I know that Nebraska was one of the first to start pushing the idea, maybe programs that are in places where there isn't much else going on besides CFB stand to benefit?

I think the benefits they can get are very limited from a practical standpoint.
The Saban Aflac commercial, the Scott Cochran Regions Bank commercials...what things are missing in those commercials?
Any mention of an association with Alabama. They aren't wearing crimson or an Alabama logo.
Very few incoming college athletes are going to have the name recognition on their own that will garner significant dollars without a mention of the school.
They may be able to use the player's likeness, but the absolutely cannot use the school logo or the name of the school.

Baby Bear PB JR age 75, now dying, gives those orders at Bama now!
Everyone, even the NCAA, knows Tua’s dad makes near 7 figures a year selling high end cars in the state of Hawaii? Lol
In the state of Alabama!!!
Don’t lump Ed Orgeron in with YOUR FILTH
As for Kirby Smart, it’s too obvious with too many 5-stars signed but they’re rookies in the cheating games when you’re talking Bama
