It's the Pensacola FL cowards fault. When Ft. Sumter was attacked and taken Ft Pickens in Pensacola was also to be taken but the locals in Pensacola chickened out. By the time they got around to trying the Fort was already reinforced. The Yankees used the good harbor at Pensacola as a base to blockade all the Gulf ports and a spring board to take New Orleans and eventually Mobile.

1980 North Island Naval Air Station CA. 3 carriers docked one in front of the other at the same time which almost never happens because one is always in the South Pacific. CV 61 Ranger (aka Pig Boat), CV-63 Kitty Hawk (aka Shitty Kitty) & CV-64 Constellation (aka countellation). Friday afternoon at the Enlisted Man Bar located just off the dock area. At 1PM the place was packed with crews from the 3 carriers. All tables full. All of a sudden I see a wooden chair being lifted up in the air and come crashing down on someone's head. it was game on then like someone threw a match in a pail of gasoline. Fights broke out everywhere. I got punched 2 or 3 times and I couldn't tell who was hitting me. Has to have been at least 100 dudes fighting. Someone yelled Shore Patrol and everyone hauled arse. Club was torn apart and shut down for several months. Fighting was even going on in the bathroom because plumbing fixtures were also torn up. Rumor was there was bad blood between the Shitty Kitty and countellation crews and that is who started the fight. I wound up with a busted lip. True story. Like one of those Western saloon fights. Utter Mayhem.

It was the weather in Austin. It was raining green.....
