I think therapy should be considered.

I suppose my main point is that I believe worrying is one of the least desirable and most pointless choices a human could possibly make, and therefore should be almost completely and universally avoided. It just serves no positive purpose.

If they were smart they’d offer Pete Golding, yesterday! Come on, Colorado. Hire PETE! Do it!

Troy Calhoun has been offered CU job per sources. They're just waiting to see if he accepts.

I don't know. Worrying about being stuck in my hometown and dying homeless and broke has had some pretty positive outcomes in my life. I am pro worry. Now being too serious on the other hand.....

The act of worrying (itself) does not produce positive outcomes. But taking action to prevent, avoid, compensate for or overcome potentially adverse situations does.

We know you didn't "win" a scholarship to the school you root for, so let's tap the brakes a bit on how much you win... especially when discussing sports.

100% agree. Worrying is the symptom, but symptons are valuable in putting you on the path to find the remedy. Worry has great value.

Worrying serves as a cue that the situation at hand is serious—and so it requires some action on your part.

Incorrect. I was offered a full academic scholarship to the University of Alabama. It was one of many.

But I'd wager a guess, MoKilos, that you meant athletic scholarships, and so no, Alabama was not among the schools that offered me athletic scholarships for football or baseball. Although I did earn a few D1 offers, none were the caliber of Alabama. In reality, I was a G5/FCS level prospect in both sports, and my scholarship offers reflected that. However, I was a cream-of-the-crop academic prospect and my scholarship offers reflected that as well.
And I was and am cool with it. I also see no reason to tap any brakes (except maybe in the area of thread derailment).
