and Sarkisian being objectively terrible in the NFL didn't stop him from having a great offense at Alabama. So what are we really talking about here? Ways to melt over an assistant coaching hire? I seem to recall people laughing at the Brady hire too. Maybe it's in everyone's best interest to wait until the games are played, albeit a very novel concept for far too many of you.
They're harping on a passing game coordinator. No one on this board could tell you who Joe Brady was until he got to LSU.

I guess there is no choice. It was the hottest topic and according to LSU fans the most important hire they needed to make , with pages and pages of discussion and speculation of who it may be and as soon as the hire is made......poof, gone ..... seems odd

I find it comical the dog piling of Bama fans.....hmmmmm

Fear has a way of manifesting itself in wishful thinking.

And, the Auburn fans chirping in is laughable. Gus much?

Coach O has earned any and all benefit of the doubt. Besides, you are all the same clowns who laughed off him becoming HC as well. Then, “like some OSU reject is gonna propel LSU anywhere!”

Guess who has ZERO credibility? You all.

We will trust the architect of the single greatest college football team in history.

Sad little people you are.

You obviously have not read the thread on your board.

You have the blind sheep vs. the people who don't necessarily follow the flock.

Lineham whom was the 6th NFL coach interviewed, was hired mainly to help with QBs, red zone and 3rd down plays. You idiots keep chirping because if you have any real clue who Lineham is would know this is absolutely a HOME FRICKIN RUN HIRE. Y’all will see come September. Geaux Tigahs

You can’t even spell his name correctly and we’re supposed to believe your assessment of him?

He got fired for having the 22nd best offense in the NFL with plenty of talent.

Should we not be laughing at this?

I’d rather have a Brady from a successful scheme over a Linehan who does nothing special.

Can you refresh my memory as to who's Alabama's OC right now. I'm sure his NFL track record was awesome.

I'm not going to get into whether Scott Linehen was good, is good or will be good at LSU because I have no idea.

Sark, however, was not terrible in Atlanta - especially not in Year 2. And I say that as a Falcons fan who watched every snap of both seasons and wanted him drawn and quartered after year 1. He was very good in year 2 with a mash unit offensive line and starting 2 3rd down backs as full time backs (Coleman/Ito Smith).

2018 Falcons Offense
#5 YPP
#8 Offensive DVOA
#4 Yards Per Drive
#6 Points Per Drive
#10 Points Per Game

Sark wasn't even terrible in 2017 on the whole - he was terrible in the red zone in 2017, which of course was frustrating to no end. His 2017 offense finished in the top 10-15 in every category : #11 NET PPD, #5 Net YPD, #5 YPP, #15 PPG.

TL/DR Sark was good in 2018 in Atlanta - much better than the 2019 version under Dirk Diggler. His biggest issue outside of the red zone in 2017 was that he was being compared to Kyle Shannahan's 2016 offense which, the 2nd half of the season through halftime of the Super Bowl was basically the NFL version of the 2019 LSU offense.

I could trot my middle school offense out against the Phags and run up and down the field.

what baffles me.......he was hired to be the PCG for an offense he doesn't run. E has run it for one year.

ETA Like an LSU fan stated earlier.....why not go out and get a Payton guy?
