That could be the case. The article I saw said E would still be the QB coach. That doesn't mean Linehan won't work with them though.

I dont get the freakout over the guy's history.

A top level coordinator wouldnt be coming to be a college PGC.

There's a long history of Whining Chicken Little s infected with Catastrophe Syndrome worsened by grown men bitching because their dreamboat coach was not hired.
That's all this is.

Now I know Coach O got lucky and caught lightning in a barrel last season

He figured if one NFL guy worked out as pass game coordinator, then any ol' NFL guy will yield the same results

Coach O is a dumbass that's basically throwing darts at buncha NFL names on a Board, there's nothing "systematic" in what he's doing, Linehan is nothing like Brady - Coach O's hire shows no continuity whatsoever

Coach O is hoping to get lucky with an NFL Asst..... again

n those 16 seasons, his offenses ranked inside the top 10 in yardage eight times and the top 10 of scoring on six occasions,

This is enough for me. Like someone else said, he isn’t the OC. The same people bashing him are the same ones that bashed O for hiring some NO assistant. I trust O.

A month ago, Scott Linehan had an interview lined up with the Carolina Panthers for a position under offensive coordinator Joe Brady, @mortreport

From the savior to Scott Linehan

People forget before the NFL he coached one of UofL’s best offenses when they had Chris Redman, Deion Branch, and etc. under John L. He’s a fantastic college OC.

Yeah I remember him leading an offense with Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper and Zeke Elliott to one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Yesh, scrapping the bottom of the barrel here

I was not overwhelmed but I will wait and see.

People are making fun of this hire from LSU but I'm sure most of you guys have no clue who's the passing game coordinator for other top programs like Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma. This guy is not the offensive coordinator , he's just a PGC.

But you loved O on Jan 13 didn't you?
But let's keep judging a man based on what he did over 10 years ago...
Aren't you clever.

So LSU is such an elite program, they are able to scoop up an ex-NFL Head Coach and convince him to be an assistant to the offensive coordinator.

SEC = LSU and the 13 peasants

He got fired four games into a season after starting 0-4 ten years ago.

Congrats?

Coach Sabah never had a winning record in the NFL without Scott Linehan!

Prove me wrong.

He was good enough for Saban to hire him as his assistant.

O just hired him as his assistant’s assistant.

You do realize Saban hired/chose him as his OC with the Dolphins. Hey if he meets with Saban's approval can't be all that bad.

He's already has Brady's playbook. So the next hire is someone that can build onto the playbook. Linehan made Matthew Stafford look great with Calvin Johnson. Every coach with Jerry in Dallas has failed since Jimmy. Don't blame Linehan for that dumpster fire.
