New head coach Matt Rhule is interested in Brady as he sorts through his options for the Panthers' offensive coordinator
FootballScoop has proven to be pretty hit-or-miss so I was just curious.

I mean, who knows if it's legit or if he's just a name being floated around, but if it was true.......you have to think it'd be hard to say no to.

New young coach, good organization, possibly a young QB to work with, probably a long leash, etc.

With as much as they’re already paying the assistants and how much of a raise O is getting, can Lsu go over the top and pay Brady to stay?

It's just crazy to me how a 30 year old who was an assistant to an assistant to an assistant with the Saints last year has all of these connections to other coaches out there looking for coordinators. I mean maybe there is some interest from some people, but good lord, talking heads are trying to link him to every effin job. I'm starting to think it's bullshite, but who knows.

Apparently Brady and Rhule have the same agent per the article, so it could be (A) they know eachother professionally through that or (B) the agent is just working a new deal at LSU/getting the name out there.

college "passing game coordinator/WR coach" vs. NFL OC.

That would be a tough decision.

Who knows. The NFL did hire Kliff fricking Kingsbury as a head coach because he was in McVay's phone contact list.

Rhule would be dumb for hitching his horse to guy that's called plays for 1 year with a 40+ year veteran sitting by his side.

And Brady would be silly to hitch his horse to a guy that had one good year in the Big XII turn into a head coaching position.

You obviously don't follow college football.

rumor has been 1.8 million per year for 4 years. That's significantly higher than the average NFL coordinator makes, which is about $1 million per year. The highest is Josh McDaniels at $4 milion per year

Anything is possible, but LSU is a pretty damn good gig. They are stockpiled with talent every year, they have had 2 consecutive decades of at least 8-win seasons and the recruits are pouring in. I'm sure he'll be paid big money at LSU as well. Most teams are not consistent in the NFL and it's more of a here today, gone tomorrow type of league (though obviously a huge accomplishment to coach in the NFL).

Sark makes 1.5. That might would make Brady the highest paid OC in college.

Does this assume Ensminger leaves, or is Brady's $1.8m salary in addition to Ensminger's?
