Mississippi State is about to hire Steve Sarkisian

He's no better of a fit than Moorhead was, which was the fanbase's main complaint with Moorhead.
Mississippi State, Washington State, Texas Tech, Rutgers and Wake Forest are the toughest places to win in the Power 5 conferences. It takes a unique combination of a coach that can win when they do not have the best players + someone that can connect with the people of Mississippi, whether it be high school coaches or the general fanbase.
I believe that Cohen let Ole Miss dictate this hire and it will end up being a huge mistake. We're closer to the bottom of the West than the top. We are guaranteed four games every year where we are not the better team. Ole Miss and Arkansas are on the rise and Kentucky is as good as they have ever been.
This is a bad hire.

Sure Sark has had his ups and downs as a head coach but I'd take him over the Yankee all day.

Dude shut the frick up. You are the worst State fan in the world.

Sark is a good hire. You need to chill out. Pulled a winless Washington team out of the gutter. Had good recruiting classes at both Washington and USC.
Who do you think we should have hired?

Maybe as a coach, but he isn't a good fit. A divorced Iranian from the West Coast isn't going to fit in at Mississippi State, no matter how many games he wins, which won't be many.

And suddenly this post makes sense.

He was born in Torrance, California. His dad is Armenian and moved to America from Teheran when he was 18.

There is clearly advantages to hiring someone who has failed at previous jobs. Saban, O, etc. There is no amount of coordinator experience that can prep a HC for the managing he needs for success.

I thought they were Armenian.
And if anyone wants to say "same thing", go tell that to an Armenian

He's basically the same as a Kardashian.

It’s basically the same exact hire that OM made with Kiffin

He's the most rational and honest Ms St fan on this board

Thank you for your thoughtful statement but really no one cares.
