I have a friend who is close to the Webbs. Knew the kid well and has interacted with the family for years.
The plaintiff stole Clay's sports drinks with no repercussions for a good while. Clay warned him to stop. He did not, so Clay did what he did into his own drink (that's a important feature here) and, sure enough, the kid stole it and here we are today.
This is a nothingburger IMO. But more learned legal scholars than I may feel differently.

A federal lawsuit can be a civil suit. Most of the lawsuits I file are in federal court.
