Talked with a few bama fan ortho guys. One saw the CT scan and confirmed that he had multiple posterior wall fractures, which makes this recovery particularly complicating. They have doubts his mobility will ever be the same.
I asked what they thought about him potentially returning to Alabama and it was unanimous that he won’t be the same player and it’s more likely he’s unable to play football at all in 2020.

My source said the prognosis was excellent and he’s expected to make a full recovery

Regardless of recovery, it's pretty sick that Bama fans are gleeful about pushing him back out there to play kiddie football.

I'm not sure about all the specifics but I do think that there is a very real chance he doesn't play at all next year.
Any slip up in recovery that causes a setback in his timeline would really push him up against it in terms of getting physically ready to play CFB/NFL ball next season - especially in terms of being ready for fall practice.

We want him to recover and play football again. If he’s healthy and cleared and wants to do it, why wouldn’t Bama fans want him to return? If he decides to skip and go NFL I’ll be his biggest fan.

I hope he returns to Alabama. He handed LSU the game this year. Without mobility, Tua is an undersized QB that can barely see over his O-line.
