in the nation and Clemson's isn't really 3rd, 1st before playing THE Ohio State.

Clemson's defense is ranked so highly because they don't play anyone. LSU's is ranked so pitifully and shamefully low because they play in the SEC.

LSU's defense is actually better than Clemson's defense and is probably the best defensive team in the country.

And while LSU's offense is ranked correctly at #1, Clemson's offense is ranked incorrectly at #3. Clemson's offense is really at a ranking of about 90 or 95, based on their competition.

So, in true reality, LSU has the best offense and defense in the nation, while Clemson has likely the worst offense in the nation and probably the worst defense in the nation.

Clemson will be lucky to cross the 50 yard line while LSU is going to score about 80.

Your trolling sucks but the gap between LSU's defense and Clemson's isnt that big.

LSU gives up about a yard more per pass completion and rushing attempts is about the same.

LSU has given up some garbage scores this season with big leads.

LSU has also looked piss poor numerous times against inferior opponents. Ole Miss was a wake-up call, IMO.

SP+ rankings

Clemson #3 defense
LSU #19 defense

LSU #1 offense
Clemson #6 offense

These stats take opponent strength into account. What they don't take into account is that I believe LSU's defense has improved greatly over the past 2 months.

I agree with some of what you said.
LSU is the #1 Offense in the country and could have hung 80 points multiple times this year, but took the foot of the gas in the 2nd half.

Clemson is not a juggernaut offense as Ohio St showed and their defense isn't as good either.

If Ohio St had a smarter QB they would have roasted Clemson when they sold out on the blitz. Burrow will eat that blitz alive. If they choose to stay back in coverage he will eat them alive given time. Point being Burrow will not be stopped.

CLemson will get points because they will get the ball about every 3-4 minutes when LSU kicks off. It just comes with the territory of scoring a lot.

Trevor Lawrence and that Etienne guy (sorry dont know how its spelled) will hook up with short passes.

The big difference in the two is that Clemson will need 8-12 plays to get down field. LSU does it in 3-6. The room for error is on LSU's side.

Until the 4th Quarter of the OU game, Burrow threw a touchdown every 3rd pass completion on average. We only had around 11 3rd downs and punted 1 time.

Georgia, Florida, Alabama, OU all experienced the same thing from LSU's offense. The outliner game for LSU was Auburn.

Clemson's outliner game was UNC.

Clemson finally provides us a challenge and dominates. Real tigers win 89 to LSU's 3.

In the last three games of the season, Clemson's defense gave up an average 359 yards a game in total offense. While LSU's defense gave up an average of 259 yards per game in total offense.

Meanwhile, LSU also played a harder schedule in those three games relative to the schedule Clemson played in those final three games as well.

Not to mention that Clemson's offense, in my opinion, is overstated simply due to the piss poor quality of teams Clemson played in the weak and pathetic ACC.

While LSU, on the other hand, which so far this season has already played and beaten six teams that were ranked in the AP top ten at the time the game was played, is ranked as the number one offense in the country.

Indeed, in my opinion, LSU's offense is a lot better than Clemson's offense simply due to the huge disparity in the quality of the competition Clemson faced relative to the quality of the competition LSU faced.

Now comparing our two games to our only common opponent, which is Texas A&M, Clemson beat them 24 to 10 and held them to 289 yards of total offense while gaining 389 yards of total offense on A&M.

While, LSU, on the other hand, beat A&M 50 to 7 and held them to just 169 yards of total offense while gaining 553 yards of total offense on A&M.

Hence, if LSU loses this game to Clemson, it won't be because Clemson is the better of the two football teams. It will be because LSU simply self-destructed and in which I don't see happening. As I think LSU will win this game relatively easy.

I don’t know if I agree with the extremes in this post. However, Clemson statistics are heavily influenced by not playing much of a schedule.

Clemson beat TAM 24 to 10. LSU beat TAM 50 to 7 and it could have been a lot worse

High praise from a Bama fan. I don’t know if our defense is the best in the nation, but I’ll ride or die with any of those guys. They play like champions. All I see are 11 guys playing with a high level of passion, heart and ferocity.

LSU has the number one offense and a top 10 defense. It just took this board all season to figure it out.
