Rumors have been swirling all week and it is confirmed: Garret Shrader has an orbital fracture received in a fight with teammate Willie Gay post practice last week. Tommy Stevens will start at QB in his place.

I really didn’t think Willie Gay would end up being this much of a headache. Kid seemed like he was gonna be a great teammate

Also, let it be noted that an Ole Miss newspaper, The Daily Journal, reported this very morning that Shrader will start the Bowl Game.

You do realize it was Christmas on Wednesday, Christmas Eve on Tuesday. That story was written several days ago because of early newsspaper deadlines for the Holiday. The Moorhead quote was from Dec. 20.

I mean, it’s possible they were trying to avoid it by trying to keep it as quiet at possible. That’s not unheard of in sports.
If he isn’t, I’m just going to assume Shrader probably started some shite and paid for it.
