That makes little to no sense if Gay isn’t getting suspended. Moorhead risks losing the whole team if Gay went after Shrader unprovoked and knocked him out of a bowl game.

I've tried several times to get on ED , just to post some things that I know would get an immediate ban. Never been given clearance.

Yeah, you kind of pin it on the guy who hit the player causing him to not be able to play.
I'm not sure how that's not hard to understand. He put out your staying friggin QB as a VETERAN player. There is no excuse for that and I get that it's not bama, but he would be gone especially after being suspended for 8 games and thrown out of 2 of the 4 he played in

Agree 100%.
But that's not what's happening. So obviously, there must be much more to the story of what actually went down

So, Shrader patted Willie on the butt, said "nice play, but that's a 15 yard penalty in a game" and that enraged him to the point that he broke Shrader's orbital bone and knocked him out of the bowl game? That's really what you believed happened here?
Shrader has demonstrated his own character issues. These two guys in particular have been going after each other in practice all season. This isn't a situation where Willie Gay alone is responsible, or Garret Shrader alone is responsible. This is a situation where there is no accountability or discipline with this football program, and a situation that has festered for an entire season came to a head. This is exhibit number 12,239,243 of why Joe Moorhead is the wrong guy to lead this football program.
You will argue otherwise, or come up with some excuse to put it all on Willie Gay or to absolve Joe Moorhead of responsibility, but you will be wrong. Again.

The Garrett Shrader is completely innocent narrative is absolutely stupid. But yes it's obvious Gay isn't innocent either.
But these are the same types of culture issues that have existed throughout the Moorhead tenure. So no MSU fan is surprised.
