Odds to win the 2020 Heisman Trophy:

Justin Fields +250
Trevor Lawrence +300
Mac Jones +700
Bo Nix +800
Kedon Slovis +1000
Jaylen Waddle +1200
Ja'Marr Chase +1500
Zamir White +2000
Spencer Sanders +2500

Via @SportsLine Oddsmakers

Bo with the 4th best odds is something, but probably means nothing since Mac Jones is right above him..

Who is throwing to him to warrant such an interesting bet?

I think I would put my money on Myles Brennan or Kyle Trask before Mac Jones or Bo Nix.

Just sayin.....

Assuming every team doesn't kick away from him, I think Waddle is a good bet there.

Lawrence loses his O-Line, ETN, and Higgins, but he's playing very well right now. A step forward next season will likely be enough to carry them undefeated through the ACC. His chances hinge on whether they win the Natty this season. Any 2x national champion QB will get plenty of votes.

Fields loses Dobbins and a bit on the OL. They'll have the pass catchers, and he'll be the favorite going in. If he improves at all from a 50td 1int season he'll likely win.

Either way this is going to be a season long race between these two.

Brennan is going to surprise a lot of people next season. With his arm strength and mobility similar to burrow all he has to do is just limit the mistakes and he’ll be just fine. With the backs we have and talent at wide out plus Arik Gilbert it won’t be hard for him to have success

I just told my brother yesterday to throw a hundo on bo nix (and a couple others) just to catch the odds. I didn’t think his odds were that high though so I guess it wouldn’t have been like the people who bet on burrow.

And Georgia picked Fromm over one and let Clemson have the other without a fight.

But if I were betting just off that list, not ones that will pop up as the season gets closer, I would think it’s Fields to lose. Kid is a ball player I can’t belive UGA let him go.... if UGA would get a decent OC who didn’t run a glorified Les Miles offense and had Fields paired with that insane stable of backs Georgia has and the talent they have at WR they would’ve been what LSU was this year. Not to mention if fields stayed and a new OC would’ve been hired you have to wonder if Hasselwood would’ve stayed in state. I also think Chase and Waddle have a good chance as well. Waddle has the better chance tho since he’ll be the main guy and his ST abilities are off the charts. Not being biased but if Stingley can improve his ST play and keeps playing like he has he will at the very least be a Heisman finalist year after next.
