Well since this is a sport's board I'd go with MS.

Why don't you move out of your parents garage....I know they said that would be " a big move" towards adulthood for you....

I'd put MS as 3rd worst, simply because we have a lot less terrible people than the other 2.
Populations:
Bama - 4.9 million
Louisiana - 4.7 million
Miss'ippi - 2.9 million

Seriously say what you want about nola but it has a huge tourism industry bc people enjoy going there for food restaurants architecture etc
Who EVER wants ANYTHING to do with Missouri?

Does it say "Maytag" or "Samsung" on the side

I think 'Maytag' or 'Samsung' wallpaper would be pretty tacky in an 830 sq. foot apartment, but that's just me.

Pretty crazy how Alabama can support two of the Big 6 SEC schools.

They at least have NOLA although it is a disgusting shithole. There is nothing else remotely redeemable about that state.
Food and music at least.

I think it depends on each ones likes and dislikes in terms of what you like better. I am comfortable in LA. South Carolina for me personally has too much secessionist ideology even today and is still in many ways fighting the Civil war. Some people still like that lost cause mentality, particularly in parts of SC, GA and also maybe even rural VA, MS and AL.
Some states are basically socialist leftist type states, the great thing is there are 50 states and nothing that is the prerogative of the FEDS per US. Constitution defacto is in the jurisdiction of the states.
As the descendant of Italian Immigrants who arrived in New Orleans between 1890-1903, Louisiana is the one Southern State that works for. Obviously it does not work for you and I guess neither does MS and AL but I will let those folks defend their respective states.

What’s the difference?
I see none.

I'm from Alabama and did not realize we were that close to 5 million.

From what I can tell, the Florida panhandle is saturated and it seems more retirees that use to go to that Pensacola to Fort Walton-Navarre Beach Corridor are now going to that area in Alabama between Mobile and the Florida state line.

I’ve spent a lot of time in all 3. Mississippi is one sad sack of shite as a state.

I disagree. It's the other two.

Hmm... This is a good point. In all honesty, the answer is MS. It's got a ton of great people but it's mired in poverty and backwards thinking pols at a level other states, even in the South, have escaped.
