Honestly if Alabama is left out, I believe there will be a rematch of the 2007 NC in some form or fashion.

At this current point, what would you feel about the matchup? They are far and away the best matchup for LSU this year. I would say Clemson any other year but their QB has been exposed and their back end is trash.

Your defense is ranked 53rd I believe? Just off the top of my head. This is a yes or no question. No well...let me explain....ummm you see...

Full strength LSU vs. full strength OSU. Does LSU beat OSU on a neutral field given both are completely healthy?

They would be tough to beat for sure. But in the dome with Joe Burrow at QB, I wouldn’t count LSU out.

We'll see what ohio state is really made of the next 3 games. Up to this point they've mostly played weak ooc games, the bottom of the big 10, and one decent team that doesn't know the forward pass was invented

Their defense is better but I think Joe would have the game of his life if we faced them in the NC. Still might not be enough but would definitely be great to watch.

This is the only thing I can think of when I hear Ohio State.

Yes.

Do we really know who OSU (or Clemson) is given the level of their competition to this point?

LSU's D is much maligned but it's certainly more tested, as is its offense.

LSU is going to need some defense to beat OSU. LSU can go toe to toe on offense but the defense worries me tbh

You can compare stats, percentages and everything else. Doesn’t really matter at this point. You play who’s next.

47th in total defense.

Ohio State is currently #1 in total defense, yielding a mere 216.4 yards per game. Clemson is #2. UGA is #6.

So far, LSU has beaten the #13 total defense (Florida), #24 (Auburn) and #27 (Alabama). Yet to play #25 (Texas A&M).

I really have no idea what to expect of OSU. I think it would be an epic shootout, coin-flip game

Here is a better question for you.

Ask the OSU fans what are their feelings about, playing LSU for a NC at the neutral site called the New Orleans Superdome?

And a follow up question would be, y’all were supposed to be head and shoulders better than the rest of college football, is it giving you nightmares that the same scenario looks likely again?

Absolutely loved that game, all you could hear in the walkways of the Superdome were OSU fans walking up and down yelling O H and then a group would yell back i O.

Didn’t hear that once after the game lol!!!

We can score with anyone. It would be a close game for sure, but we will get our points no matter who we play...especially if we have about a month to get prepared, implement a good game plan, and get healthy. Ohio State hasn't played anybody yet, so I believe we will get a more valid idea of how good they really are this weekend vs Penn State ( not that penn state is all that great either, but they will be their best competition this far). I like LSUs chances against anybody, bc of our offense. Our defense has shown it can play well too at times, if we can get them to just play and entire game we will be very tough to beat. The talent is there, I just thinknthey get tired or lose focus sometimes. We have been dealing with injuries onnthst side of the ball as well. LSUs defense isn't as bad as some make them out to be. They have shown they can play great defense when they're playing to their capabilities. I like our chances vs Ohio St though. Geaux Tigers.

Little Joe would shite his pants, knowing he's going
against the Defense that made him a 3rd string QB while he was there...

If OSU brings their “A” game they are the best team hands down.

They have Alpha players at every level on Offense and defense.. I’m not talking 5star, I’m saying Aloha next level.

The best player in the country in Chase Young did don’t even play the last 2 weeks, and their backups got 8 sacks and 18 TFLS... that’s just crazy.. idc who you play.

... in comparison, LSU has 5 sacks and 19 tfls combined against Ga So, NWST, & UT ST.....

But the main reason is Ryan Day. He imo is the difference. M not saying he’s at the level of the coaches who have won titles, as far as notoriety or program building or recruiting.... but. Do think he’s the best X and O coach during the game; he seems to know how to Take advantage of his opponents weakness and exploit them to the fullest. And then he doesn’t let up.

We should also remember OSU has to play the #9, 11, and 12th ranked teams back to back to back. Wouldn’t be surprised if they get tripped up.

I’ll be honest, I’ve watched maybe 5 total minutes of OSU games this year, so I don’t have any clue about their team other than the fact that Justin Fields is their QB and their best player was suspended.
