Overrated CFB coaches

I find Brian Kelly at Notre Dame to be overrated. Also Mike Leach at Washington State.
IDK if Willie Taggart is exactly overrated, but some people don’t recognize how bad he is.

I disagree. The UCLA debacle was embarrassing and he should take heat for it.
That said what he had done there with inferior athletes over at WSU is impressive. He isn't going to win a national title there but he will put together 9-10 win seasons with some upsets in there. He has improved that program dramatically over there.

Some people think he’s one of the top 5 coaches in CFB.
His cult seems to think that football games are determined solely by passing yards, and that running yards and defense don’t matter.

Brian Kelly is not overrated. Hard school to recruit at modern day. He’s fielded some very competitive teams lately. Natty and playoff appearances, possibly another this year

WSU had some success under Mike Price. It’s not a Vandy type program.
And Leach lost to FCS teams in back to back years in 2015-2016.

He’s 85-36, counting his forfeited wins in 2012-2013. Not really remarkable. I don’t think his schedules have been that good either.
And he’s gotten routed in both of his championship appearances.
Really he should have been fired after 2016, at least if you don’t use benefit of hindsight bias. At that point, he was 59-31.

First two are in no way overrated. Kelly does a damn good job at ND.
