I'm a NASCAR fan and have to say I've never liked Marty Smith. His accent sounds 'fake' and I really wish he'd drop the act. It's disrespectful and an insult. Thankfully Xfinity and Monster Cup races are no longer on ESPN. So what are the network execs to do with this caricature of a southerner? Let's send him to the SEC Network. I just don't get it. Did some focus group pick this guy? I've lived in the southeast for over 45 years and I can't listen to him. I can't even watch a TV promo or a commercial with that guy. I have to change the channel or turn the TV off.
