That was a fun couple of weeks, especially after they got word of this place

I believe you misunderstood his post. He was not saying Britt is better than Deshawn. DD was a man child. He was the perfect middle linebacker. See ball, get ball..
He also looked a lot bigger than his listed weight. That’s the thing I am noticing with Oregon getting Southeast kids. All of the kids form the southeast enrolled and are bigger than their recruit profile. Almost every West Coast kid dropped weight during summer workouts.
Trikweze Bridges from Lanette is the biggest surprise. I thought he was always going to be a tall drink of water.

Day 2 check in from fall camp -
Injuries - Cam McCormick (TE), Justin Collins (WR), Sam Poutasi (OL)
All are believed to be minor or rehabbing from last fall.
Freshman standout -
Jamal Hill (DB) he’s been elevated to the twos already and vying for the nickel spot and gives the spot a big presence with speed at 6’1” 204.
Mycah Pittman (WR) he’s getting the most hype of anyone. He’s probably the best WR on the field already.
Concerns: defense looked a bit off. Remember this is a new defense with Avalos, so it’s something to keep an eye out.

At WR- Schwartz IS the fastest guy in CFB. World class speed but not just a track guy. Great with the ball in his hands. Seth Williams is a red zone stud as is Sal Cannella. Stove will be great on screens and end-arounds. Hastings is a possession guy. Hill & Jackson will contribute as well.
Well, Schwartz is out for the foreseeable future.
He broke his hand in blocking drills and had to have surgery.
BLOCKING DRILLS.
Kodi Burns has to the the fricking recruiting master of all time to continue to bring in 4-star (and an occasional 5-star) WRs to come and block in Gus's offense. LEGEND.

I watched your game against Stanford last year on the pack 12 network. We are ready to play whenever you are.
Haha.
Haha.

Agree Wide Outs should not have to block. And the ones that do should not have to practice it. Its just stupid

Our offense requires blocking to be effective. How the hell does one improve if they don’t practice a skill? It’s a contact sport, shite happens.

Honestly, the team that played Stanford is not showing up for the Advocare Classic.
That team was mentally much weaker.
They grew up last season.

Agreed. That sucks that Schwartz is out. I am sure Seth Williams will give us a lot to handle.

Defense DE - Nick Coe DT - Derrick Brown DT - Tyrone Truesdell DT - Marlon Davidson LB - Chandler Wooten LB - KJ Britt LB - Owen Pappoe CB - Noah Igbinoghene CB - Javaris Davis S - Jeremiah Denson S - Daniel Thomas Our defensive line has been documented. Not a lot to talk aobut with them. They should be good. We also have some nice depth there with Big Kat and TD Moultry coming in and out. We tend to rotate 8-10 in and out up front and I see up doing that again this year The Linebacker crew is a total guess on my part. Have no idea how that will work it self out. All three are new starters and could be the weak spot on our defense. Pappoe is a true freshman but a man child and could be special The secondary should be solid. All those guys have extensive playing time and should be solid. We also have some very good depth there. Devon Barrett could get one of those starting spots, August will decide
I'm just curious as to who you think Devan Barrett is going to start over? I haven't heard anything anywhere of him starting. Iggy, JD, Tutt, Thomas and Dinson are locked.

Were talking about the Auburn/ Oregon game not the Auburn / Arkansas game

I don't know. They might have "grown up" but they also became far more inconsistent week to week. If the team (and OC) that shat the bed against Arizona or only scored 7 against Michigan State shows up, we're getting blown out.

I know. I was just messing with you. I could not believe they lost that game. That was some pure Auburn Tiger shite right there

Oregon was always going to lose games last season. They were also going to be inconsistent. They had depth issues and holes in the roster. Even in the losses against WSU and UTAH they fought. They fought through adversity. We also saw them win a game where both sides of the ball didn’t have to feed off of each other.
Don’t read more into what I said. We played scared in that game. I think this team will handle that better. However, Oregon is not a complete team talent wise.

Brendan Schooler, starting WR, is out with a foot injury for Oregon. There is no timeline for return.
Posted on 8/6/19 at 2:27 pm to bisonduck
Timeline is 6-8 weeks, so both teams down a starting WR.
