That place is no holds barred. I imagine the place sounds racist to balance out the politically correct nature of Seattle.

Some of it’s tongue and cheek due to people questioning whether Petersen only wants white try hards. It’s kinda funny.

It probably should but to be honest Oregon's best unit by a long shot is the OL and DL is not far behind. The trenches for Oregon have size, depth, experience and athleticism.

But are they soft?

They’re a bunch of country boys. However, we’ll see once they go up against Auburn.

What's the argument that Oregon beats Auburn? Seems like Auburn is the favorite on this board.

Oregon is really anemic on offense, similar to Auburn. You just have no idea if you're going to get 40 plus or one score.

I feel like this game could be really ugly where the winner in the end basically comes down to a coin toss.

I prefer not to post on tRant because I feel it’s a giant black hole for conversation. But it’s fun to spectate

My boy Bisonduck though always churns our quality content on here and on the recruiting board

I don’t see many points in this one. Dive, dive and run sticks won’t get it done.

I will give you a line up

Defense

DE - Nick Coe
DT - Derrick Brown
DT - Tyrone Truesdell
DT - Marlon Davidson
LB - Chandler Wooten
LB - KJ Britt
LB - Owen Pappoe
CB - Noah Igbinoghene
CB - Javaris Davis
S - Jeremiah Denson
S - Daniel Thomas

Our defensive line has been documented. Not a lot to talk aobut with them. They should be good. We also have some nice depth there with Big Kat and TD Moultry coming in and out. We tend to rotate 8-10 in and out up front and I see up doing that again this year

The Linebacker crew is a total guess on my part. Have no idea how that will work it self out. All three are new starters and could be the weak spot on our defense. Pappoe is a true freshman but a man child and could be special

The secondary should be solid. All those guys have extensive playing time and should be solid. We also have some very good depth there. Devon Barrett could get one of those starting spots, August will decide

Offensive

QB - Joey Gatewood
RB - Jatarvious Whitlow (They call him Boobie)
HB - Harold Joiner (Total guess)
OL - Kaleb Kim
OL - Jack Driscol
OL - Mike Horton
OL - Prince Tega Wanogho
OL - Marquel Harrell
WR - Anthony Schwartz
WR -Eli Stove
WR - Seth Williams

Offense also was a guess. Especially at QB and WR. I think Gatewood will win the job at QB as Gus may want to run the ball more. If he decides to use the passing game more, I see Nix winning the job. Gatewood is a big boy and we can run power with him like we did in 2010 with Newton. Nix can run but he does not have the size yet to run inside. I believe Nix is the better passer. Our Offensive line should be solid. Of course we thought that last year and they started out bad. Got much better as the year went on even though the fans still road them hard.

We have some very fast wide outs. Schwartz is the fastest guy on the team and maybe one of the fastest in college football. We also have Will Hastings who will probably burn you deep at least once. Small super fast white boy who looks like a boy scout.

Last year we used the screen game too much. I hated that. I see us running power more this year. At least we will start that way

I wouldn't rule out DJ Williams getting some playing time even as early as the 1st game. He looked really good in Spring. Like a slightly bigger Michael Dyer. Runs low to the ground can find the holes and can catch the ball. I really like his game.

Yep. Wouldnt surprise me at all to see him take over for Boobee as RB1.

AND its Boobee not Boobie.

Watching some of your games, I am glad you lose #57. He diagnosed well and made a lot plays behind the LOS.

DT - Marlon Davidson
LB - Chandler Wooten
LB - KJ Britt
LB - Owen Pappoe
CB - Noah Igbinoghene
CB - Javaris Davis
NB - Christian Tutt
S - Jeremiah Denson
S - Daniel Thomas

I highlighted the impact players and added th nickel since we play so much of it.

On the DLine - Derrick Brown is a All American. Marlon Davidson is a 4-year starter.
Nick Coe is a potential STAR. Had 7.5 sacks last season and missed a few game because of a wrist injury. 6'5" 291 lbs. fmr HS wrestler.
Off the bench we have Big Kat Bryant & TD Moultry who are also pass rush specialist. Coynis Miller is a prototype 3-Technique. Others to boot.

At LB - We graduated 3 Senior starters. So these guys aren't as experienced but way more talented. KJ Britt is the MLB and is a bigger, faster version of who he replaced.
Owen Pappoe is the best LB recruit we've had in the last 15 years. He's a heat seeking missile.

In the secondary - Lots of depth and experience. 1 jr and 3 senior starters. Javaris Davis and Noah Igbinoghene are fast and athletic. Dinson is solid and Daniel Thomas is a ballhawk. But he BACKUPS...Christian Tutt, Smoke Monday, Jamian Sherwood...are fantastic and all sophomores.

From what I’ve watched of your games, you’re not giving a lot of credit to your boy #57. I am always fascinated with these types of posts. The replacement is better but never mind he took only a 5th of snaps from the starter last year.

Also, I noticed Denson more than Thomas.

QB - Joey Gatewood/Bo Nix
RB - Jatarvious "Boobee" Whitlow/Kam Martin/DJ Williams/Shaun Shivers
HB - John Samuel Shenker/Harold Joiner
OL - Kaleb Kim
OL - Jack Driscol
OL - Mike Horton
OL - Prince Tega Wanogho
OL - Marquel Harrell
WR - Anthony Schwartz
WR - Sal Cannella
WR - Seth Williams

At QB - No starter chosen yet. I personally hope its Gatewood. Cam Newton clone. 6'5" 235 super athletic, great passer. Opens up the entire playbook for us.
If not, I'll go with Bo Nix. Not the runner Gatewood is but is athletic enough and has intangibles off the charts. Think Baker Mayfield.

At RB - Boobee is the best returning, DJ has star potential, Shivers is the home run threat anytime he touches the ball. Top 5 fastest guy in CFB.

At WR- Schwartz IS the fastest guy in CFB. World class speed but not just a track guy. Great with the ball in his hands. Seth Williams is a red zone stud as is Sal Cannella. Stove will be great on screens and end-arounds. Hastings is a possession guy. Hill & Jackson will contribute as well.

O-Line - Return all 5 starters and they're all seniors. Struggled early but found their groove late last season. Prince Tega is the best of the group.

No I didn't say better than DeShaun. I said bigger and faster. DeShaun was great at preparation and diagnosing. He was drafted by Cincy.

I believe you misunderstood his post. He was not saying Britt is better than Deshawn.

DD was a man child. He was the perfect middle linebacker. See ball, get ball..

Sal had 12 catches last year, quite the reach calling him a red zone stud.
