Remember that Rose had to take a backseat to Tiger last fall when winning the tour championship, because Tiger won the tournament in ATL and all hell broke loose.
Then today, Rose in same group with Tiger dealing with the Tiger crowd mania ....breaks Tigers first round us open record with a facemelter birdie putt on last hole.
Pretty damn cool.

Still cool and overcast and the greens are holding their color into afternoon. Flags are moving around a bit though, so I guess the winds are picking up.

BTW do any of you play WGT golf on iOS? I loaded it up for when I traveled. A lot of fun and Pebble is one of the courses.

Graeme McDowell’s is a cool story.
The Open next month is being played in Northern Ireland for only second time ever i believe. And its at the course he grew up playing in his home town. But he’s currently not qualified to play in it.....
Another US open win is huge obviously, but what a story thatd be for the hometown kid to pull off and make it nto the Open.

It’s funny because Pebble is a course that you play a lot so when I’m watching the Open and depending on the hole you sit there and think “he better cut the corner or he’ll be in the bunker” or “ let’s see what he does with this to get it to the green without going over”

He actually qualified by making a 30 footer on 18 last week at the Canadian Open.
