At home in Columbia, though, attendance continues to be an issue for Missouri. The Tigers’ average home game attendance dropped in 2018 for the fourth straight year, down to 51,465 per game.

It will turn around; attendance is starting to rise so attendance should do the same.

No wonder they didn’t have money to do a decent renovation in the end zone.

I don't blame them. They mostly play teams they don't care about.

Why would someone living in Missouri care about playing Florida? How many Florida grads could they possibly know?

What was the rationale for adding Mizzou to the SEC?

Every ones attendance is dropping even teams that are highly successful like Alabama and Clemson. It’s not about Missouri but it’s so much more convenient to watch in a huge screen without strangers and all the snacks you want that’s right there by you. Accessible clean restrooms. Every game is on TV. They could reduce the size of all football stadiums.

Every school is going to continue dealing with this. It will be the new normal.
It's too expensive to make every game. Hotels, tailgating, tickets, missed work etc.
Not to mention the tax write offs are going away.

I remember when you could FEEL the MIZ...ZOU chant in your chest. Now it’s kind of a dull roar. Most of the people I know stopped really following MU when we lost rivals like KU and Nebraska, and even OU and Texas. It’s just different now.
