They should have never accepted the NIT bid... It doesn't make sense, but if the entire team revolts and it results in Mike's firing, then that's progress. Maybe hunter is playing 16D chess on the whole thing.

I don't think they can shoot near as well as Auburn. Apparently their offense isn't very good but their defense is top notch from listening to someone who covers them on the radio this morning. Of course we tend to make teams look like great shooters at times.
Be interesting to see how the expanded 3 point line effects both teams, but I feel good about Joe being able to hit from anywhere. Still don't like our chances without Gafford.

Without Gafford and the almost certainty that Gabe and Bailey will be our main guys inside they’ll just sit out on our shooters and lock them down since Mike doesn’t promote movement

If its Sampson then it makes plenty of sense to let Mike coach the NIT... It can only be one more bullet in the chamber. We are outed from the magical Not IN Tournament and then fire Mike.

Guys want to play in the NBA and players aren’t dumb and realize his lack of fundamentals in his coaching won’t get them there

What gets me is the offense will look fantastic like last night, against LSU, early on in the season...then it will look like we've never played basketball before.

How can they go out and dominate by 20 when supposedly so much of the team is revolting against MA calling for his firing??
And why fire him now? If youre gonna fire him, you damn well better have a plan to hire a top-notch coach, not some up and comer. Weve tried that. Problem is, all the top notch coaches are focusing on the Tourney, not worrying about taking the Arkansas job. Wait until after the tourney to do this.

Revolting? Nah. Some guys who want to better their basketball careers so they’re looking elsewhere? Yeah. And if you watched the game Providence was slow and unathletic as hell
