3 UGA's AD isn't acting alone in this negotiation, he HAD to consult his head football coach before he went to the negotiating table. Kirby & McGarrity are obviously ok with his.
There has to be angle here otherwise this doesn’t make sense.

Bama does the same. They even rescheduled GSU to a thursday in order to get more time for Auburn one year

They also wanted to move to the East to escape Bama,
we would still play bama every year. We would also get to resume our UF/UT rivalries, who are far more natural rivals than LSU/A&M. bama won't let it happen because they would lose the UT game.

They haven't been in the Conf. long enough to have any rivals. Seriously, tell me who Mizzou's rival is?

in the 2012 expansion they almost moved Auburn to the east and placed miz in the west. I want to say the vote came down to a one school separation between allowing it vs not. I forget if those were majority or the 2/3, 3/4 votes

And Mizzou has done ok in the East winning the East Championship twice. Why would they want to voluntarily move to the West and make their path to the SECCG basically non-existent?

It wont happen at this point with more teams in the vote now. There will be another realignment in the CFB world in the next 10-15 years that will change the SEC.

The TV dollars and SEC TV contracts won't change because of this switch.Do you not realize this?
Stop thinking about it so linear. New contracts will be based on the data achieved in the coming years. uga is ok with this because they are forward thinking and see the potential of keeping Auburn on the schedule and creating a potential November SEC East battle most seasons. It's good for the bottom line in the conference and it will be good for uga when it comes to exposure going forward.
Auburn will fix a schedule issue that no other member institution has to put up with and it has nothing to do with wins and loses. It is absolutely about the bottom line and even season Novembers being ridiculously finically imbalanced compared to member institutions.

Stop spinning yourself in to the ground.Switching one game in the schedule will have no bearing in a multi year/multi millions TV negotiation.

Where there is no vision the people will perish. Enjoy your perspective. It's obvious you understand it better than the leadership at your school including your AD and Head Football coach, the leadership at member institutions, including bama who would stop it if there wasn't benefit to them and the leadership of the SEC who mostly care about wins and loses...the SEC leaders have never been about money.

All cross division games should be played in September or October. This keeps us from playing UGA, Bama, UGA which happened last year in a 4 week span....
The SEC title game has been played since 1992 and the 2018 season was literally the first time this ever happened. Auburn just like Bama gets basically a bye the week before the Iron Bowl. I hope they just switch the date with your LSU game. That would serve your dumbass program right for being a whiny arse bitch. Plus it would piss off LSU because they would have to play Auburn the week after Bama.

I'm trying to figure out the benefit to UGA. I just don't see the reasoning.

Your people have seemed to push the competitive disadvantage AU has had to endure with the scheduling, but never the financial strain it has caused.

What? Our odd year home schedules are horrible including Novembers.
So fix the Bama/UGA same year dilemma and be done with it
