McGarity's arse better be gone if he agrees to this without getting anything back in return.

He's the biggest pussy in that group of AD's.

What would/should he get out of it?

All cross division games should be played in September or October. This keeps us from playing UGA, Bama, UGA which happened last year in a 4 week span....

LAST YEAR?

I don't see UGA getting anything out of it but I'm sure there's all kinds so shite going on behind the scenes the proposal has gotten this far. AU's AD seems to be pretty level headed, he's the polar opposite of his hay-seed predecessor.

How does your thought process go to that from my comment of this

Because it was directly linked to my previous discussion about moving the game...which you obviously jumped in on.

Que NYC emoji when he has nothing.

Because of the Home/Away issue with Bama and UGA. Changing UGA to Sept or even better October frees up an opposite scheduled SEC team to put in place

Exactly how long have you played Bama and UGA in November?

quote:

This allows for a more even distribution of H/A games for Auburn in Sept/Oct/Nov.

So this is ALL about Auburn and the "even distribution of your schedule"?

God almighty,so let's freaking accommodate EVERY SEC school who doesn't think their schedule is "evenly distributed"

It's ALL about Auburn and it's damn nice of UGA to give 'em a bone.

We've played @ GT every even year since 1934.

DSOR was always in Athens in odd years from 1959 until the additions.

TN hosted TSIO in odd yeas from 1928-1942, no game in 1943, & then even years from 1944-current.

Fl. hosted LSU in odd years frmo 1943-1967, no games until 1971, & then even years from 1972-current. EXCEPT for recently:

LSU/Fl.
2015 - LSU
2016 - LSU
2017 - UF
2018 - UF

I’d be willing to bet UGA gets back to back home games as part of this deal as well.

I'd never say never, but I don't believe it is even an option. To do it would require uga to get 5 home games one season and the rest of the SEC would block that by not voting for it. Auburn could potentially live with 3 home games that season, but the decision wouldn't pass the 3/4 vote test due to the east teams opposition.

That's a load of crap.

What about this issue just years ago:

LSU/Fl.
2015 - LSU
2016 - LSU
2017 - UF
2018 - UF

UGA's played GT @ home in even years since 1934.
We've played Aub. @ home in odd years since 1959.

Aub.'s played Ala. @ Aub. since 1989 in odd years. Aub.'s played @ UGA since since 1959 in odd years.

This WASN'T an issue for you until 2014!!!

This is the danger of conference expansion. Eat shite Slive. From AU's perspective it makes sense why they're pushing to get away from playing UGA and Bama on the road within a couple weeks of each other, buzzsaw.

The SEC we all grew up on us being destroyed. Auburn doesn't play UF or UT regularly anymore, and now the oldest rivalry in the south is being moved.

Nothing against TAMU and Mizzou, but frick this. They should've fixed the home and home issue before moving the damn thing.

But they're still ensuring UGA/Mizzou and AU/TAMU happens every year

Laughable.

They've not played both on the road except starting in 2014 (almost 5 years ago)!!!

Exactly. Auburn's just simply running from competition.

Well nowwwww, I'd have to think UT doesn't want it, UGA, Vandy, UK, SoCarl probably don't want y'all in the East and why the hell would Mizzou want to move West to take on LSU/Bama/aTm when they've done better than average in the East?

in the 2012 expansion they almost moved Auburn to the east and placed miz in the west. I want to say the vote came down to a one school separation between allowing it vs not. I forget if those were majority or the 2/3, 3/4 votes

SEC will NOT split any same-state schools into diff. divisions nor pods.

Looks like we're swapping UTk and AU in the schedule.

I for one kinda like this. We basically get a free win at the end of the year before Tech so we can rest up for the SECCG. Auburn seems to have been improving as the seasons go on lately so, we will also get to play them before they hit their mid season form. I'd say it's literally a Win/Win.

it really boggles the mind.

I would like to try this......for the next five years, let's swap schedules with UGA. The leghumpers are like the FSU teams of the 80's and early 90's. They play two games a year....one early and one late.

I’m going to completely and totally disagree with this.
