***RECEIVER***
COMMITS: 2 -- J.J. Evans and Kobe Hudson
SPOTS LEFT: 2 -- Auburn needs a big haul at receiver in this class and is off to a very good start, having nabbed arguably the top receiver in both Alabama and Georgia. Each seems to be fairly solid to Auburn, but Hudson continues to visit other schools. E.J. Williams of nearby Phenix City (Ala.) Central and Elijah Canion of south Florida are among the top targets. Right now, Williams looks to be trending toward Clemson. Meanwhile, Auburn is moving up with Canion after his visit with the Tigers last weekend. Auburn also is pursuing Arkansas grad transfer La'Michael Pettway. He should have an announcement about his future in the next few weeks.

***OFFENSIVE LINE***
COMMITS: 2 -- Jonathan Buskey and Avery Jernigan
SPOTS LEFT: 4-5 -- Buskey is a junior college tackle. Jernigan is a center/guard from Georgia. Auburn still has many spots to fill and there are several targets of note. Inside, Tate Johnson of Georgia and Marcus Henderson of Tennessee are two of the top prospects for the Tigers. Guard/tackle combo Chris Mayo of New Jersey will officially visit Auburn in the near future. Guard/tackle Marlon Martinez of Florida is another to watch. Among pure tackles Marcus Dumervil and Jalen Rivers of Florida are two of note. Auburn has lots of work ahead here.

***TIGHT END***
COMMITS: 0
SPOTS LEFT: 1 -- There is a lot to be determined at this position and we expect a bunch of new names to emerge during the spring evaluation period. That said, 5-star tight end Darnell Washingon of Nevada will make his second visit to Auburn this coming Tuesday. Do the Tigers have a shot? It's probably too soon to known, but we should have more intel about his recruitment after his upcoming visit. Jeremiah Pegues of Mississippi already has visited Auburn twice this year. The Tigers appear to be a contender in his recruitment.

***DEFENSIVE LINE***
COMMITS: 2 -- Daniel Foster-Allen and Damarjhe Lewis
SPOTS LEFT: 3-4 -- Foster-Allen and Lewis have 3-star ratings, but Auburn is high on both. Lewis continues to visit other schools and that is something to watch. Auburn's top defensive line target is Myles Murphy, a 5-star recruit from Georgia. Clemson is trending but Auburn probably is his No. 2 and remains in the hunt. He's headed for a late-summer decision. Four-star end Will Anderson of Georgia and 4-star tackle Jalen Carter are two others of note Both visited Auburn on Saturday. Finally, you have former commit Quandarrius Robinson, a 4-star in-state recruit. Auburn remains in the picture, but Alabama is a big threat.

***LINEBACKER***
COMMITS: 0
SPOTS LEFT: 3-4 -- Auburn has a need for a big haul this cycle and the Tigers have zeroed in on several targets. That includes 5-star Justin Flowe of California, who visited earlier this year. In state, Cameron Riley and Rodney Groce are the targets of note Auburn has a great chance to land each. In Georgia, 4-star Phillip Webb is the biggest target with Desmond Tisdol also being a high priority. Wesley Steiner is another Georgia recruit to watch; he will officially visit Auburn. In Florida, Jayion McCluster is someone the Tigers like an awful lot. Groce probably is the closest to joining the class.

***CORNERBACKSAFETY***
COMMITS: 0
SPOTS LEFT: 3-4 -- At corner ... Four-star recruit Ethan Pouncey of Florida is an emerging target the Tigers seem to like a lot. He visited Saturday. In state, Sidney Williams of Mobile is high on Auburn. Auburn also seems to like Arkansas commit Jamie Vance. To be honest, the cornerback class nationally is not very strong. We expect new names to emerge with offers during the upcoming spring evaluation period. At safey, one player to watch is former Miami commit Ladarius Tennison of Florida. We're told Auburn is trending up in a big way. He's probably a nickel type.

***ATHLETE***
COMMITS: 0
SPOTS LEFT: 1-2 -- These are players whose positions might not be determined until they get to college. The prospect to watch here is Eric Shaw, who lives about 30 minutes from Auburn. He's listed at 6-feet-4, 210 pounds and his future could be at receiver ... at linebacker ... or even at defensive end. It seems like Auburn is the team to beat for him at this time. Four-star athlete Caziah Holmes of Florida is another to track. He's probably a running back, but has the talent to also play in the secondary.

***SPECIAL TEAMS***
SPOTS LEFT: 0-1 -- Thus far, we have not heard any intel to suggest Auburn will try to sign a kicker or a punter in the 2020 class. Tigers placekicker Anders Carlson is a redshirt sophomore. Punter Arryn Siposs will be a junior. If anything changes, we will let you know.

4* DL Jalen Carter and 4-star CB Ethan Pouncey are staying the night. Carter’s second night on campus.

I have no idea how good this Garnett kid is or his family and personal situation, but I find it crazy to turn down a free ride to Harvard for Auburn. I could definitely understand a guy that is “a sure fire” NFL talent wanting to play in SEC, so maybe he thinks he is.

I don't like 3* on the DL. Not a good trend.

Ivy league doesn't do athletic scholarships.

They have no problem offering "needs based" or "alumni club" scholarships to make sure their athletes are taken care of

This is all correct. There’s only a small percentage of students at Ivy League universities that pay full sticker price. I imagine athletes have other funding sources available to them. My best friend from Savannah paid as much as I did to go to Auburn as he did for Yale. About 2.5K a semester. To cover that, he “worked” at a law firm in New Haven for a few hours a week where he is now a partner.

Agree but u guy a coach that gets his WR’s in the league early rounds and they are playing for ‘ships.
We don’t have to play in the championship every year but we need some consistency!
