Sounds like Phillip Webb’s ADay visit went well. His dad was friends with Garner in college. Also sounds like he knows Owen Pappoe pretty well. Guessing he won’t be deciding until early signing day.

This is all correct. There’s only a small percentage of students at Ivy League universities that pay full sticker price. I imagine athletes have other funding sources available to them. My best friend from Savannah paid as much as I did to go to Auburn as he did for Yale. About 2.5K a semester. To cover that, he “worked” at a law firm in New Haven for a few hours a week where he is now a partner.

When I went back to school to get my Masters at Tulane, we were on a break talking with the professor and it was bb season. One of the guys mentioned the entrance scores to Tulane for GMAT and being a student athelete, the professor kind of laughed and said, their scores are not in that stat, they go to Tulane city college (or some such nomenclature).

He then said that over half the tuition paid in total for all students at Tulane was some sort of scholarship of some type, minority, athletic, scholar, grant, business, etc.

Also Clemson appears to have backed off. Bama might end up being the top threat in that race

Auburn offered juco receiver Danny Gray out of Blinn junior college.

UCF did too.

3* LB Rodney Groce says AU is still his leader. Doesn't have a #2 team. Decision could come in May after his spring game. Loves T-WILL & tried to visualize himself in Auburn's defense when watching A-Day. Apparently he's family friends with KJ Britt as well

Feels like this is pretty much a done deal he's just waiting to do some sort of special announcement. KN says AU wants at least 4 LBs in this class, could even take 5

247 put out a "What we are hearing?" post again. In it KN says that AU feels really good about where they sit in their OL recruiting. KN says that when one of his sources was told that an AU target with an offer wanted to take a few more visits before making his decision his source said "If he wants in, he better get on board soon." KN says we will find out if AU is in fact in as good a spot as they think they are but says this is a big change from last cycle....

I will believe it when I actually see a 4* high school OT prospect commit to Auburn

Weren't there a number of early cycle 3* that AU passed over that became high 4*/5* guys?

At this point, having scholarship OL > not having scholarsihp OL

JB Grimes on the new episode of Auburn’s “the ride”:

“I harken back to the western days, back when cowboys rode on cattle drives, and they rode for the brand.”

If anyone wanted some context on why he struggles to connect with teenagers
