No. This is an obvious troll, but you got too triggered by the premise that your daddy was slipping that you didn't realize it.

Bama on the decline?

Most likely. The question now is whether it will be fast or slow.

If you're looking for rapid decline 2020 is the year you want to keep your eye on.

I am unsure yet. I don’t like to go full tilt one way or the other. I want to see what happens next year. If Bama is back in CFP then no obviously not. It’s not like they had a bad season and have the number one recruiting class. The coaching turnover is what bothers me so much. Theirs is only so many good OCs to go around.

Yeah I pegged the 2020 last year as the most plausible chance to beat bama

If it "sure seems like it" to you, then go with it. Doubt it will end well for you, but what the hell, at least you're happy now.

Everyone seems to have their own opinion, but mostly just wishful thinking out of their hatred. If nothing else, the Bama loss has definitely shown most people's true colors and extreme homerisms.

I wish we were experiencing their "decline"

Let's be realistic. No coach of a team on Bama's schedule next year is breathing a sigh of relief. All Monday showed is there is one team in the nation that can beat Alabama. Do you think any team wants to trade places with Duke next Aug 31? EVEN IF Alabama has lost a step they had 4 steps on everyone except Clemson, maybe just 2 steps on UGA and OK. What was their recruiting rank again?

If they aren't the same wrecking ball in the SEC I will be very surprised.

I think last time he lost by that much was back in 03 when he was at LSU playing bama.

Georgia is on more of a decline than Bama. Shortest dynasty in history?

The better question is:

"How much better is a Bama in decline than UGA?"

Answer:

Significantly better.

Exactly. Whether the game against Clemson is the beginning of the end or not, Alabama has been on an unprecedented run the last decade. It’s not sustainable and Saban’s age combined with the success of Clemson, Georgia, and Ohio State and the potential of others like TAM, LSU, Florida virtually assures we are closer to the end of this historic run than the beginning.

If it’s over now or five years down the road, as a lifelong Bama fan, I’ve enjoyed it and thankful I got to experience it. Just old enough to remember the end of Bryant’s run but didn’t have a true appreciation for that level of dominance. RTR

I don't believe that Alabama is so much in a decline as it is that Clemson University has just become the penultimate football program in the history of this sport.

If staying the same, yet moving to #2 means that "you are in decline" then the answer is yes, I suppose.

Meh were 2 and 2 against each other. This is like Celtics vs Lakers.

I get that it's hard to hear. Especially knowing that you had Dabo and let him get away. Imagine how bad that will be haunting you 5 seasons from now when he is still standing on top.
