A few things...

1. I'm not black, neither is my wife. We would have some shite to talk about if he was my son.

2. I would teach my son to honor his commitments. In this case, point out the fact that Mark Sanchez started at USC for one season and was drafted in the first round.

3. I'd make him cut his fricking hair.

People are forgetting about what Kirby tells recruits. "Next year, I am going to recruit someone as good if not better than you for your position, your job is to win the position and keep it".

Fields wasn't grasping the offense, he made poor decisions during the game or whatever reason is why he didn't win the QB1 job. He got experience, he has another offseason to learn the playbook, he has potential to be great and Fromm may be gone after 2019. Those are good reasons to stay.
I haven't heard anything official from the University. Just some rumor to get everybody talking before Dec. 19th seems to me.

I can save you 10 pages — one poster melting over and over about how Fields was misused. The same poster also threw in a healthy dose of “I told you.”

Would be crazy if he decides to go to Tech with their new coach.

I know this is like beating a dead horse here but wouldn’t he have the exact same eligibility if Fromm leaves after next season (which would seem like the obvious scenario)?

I hate to see him go, bc I think he’d be great once he mastered the playbook. But whatever is best for him, I’m confident we’ll find someone else to run the offense.

I don’t see Fromm leaving unless we win the natty....especially now that the job is firmly his for as long as he wants it. He’s doing something he’s wanted to do since he was a kid.

But aren’t he and Tua rated as the top two QB’s right now for 2020 without even playing next year??

No. Probably not. He IS “good as frick” at handing the ball off, apparently.

I believe he will go out of conference, but not to Tech...unless he thinks there is a better chance of getting a hardship waiver there.

Word here is it’s Ohio st and he has a lawyer to get eligible right away. It was being talked about on a radio station here in Tuscaloosa.

The race card would be weak AF way to handle this. It's not like we don't have other black kids playing on the team in high profile roles. JFC...

Lawyer is going to try to play the race card against UGA in hopes that UGA won’t fight it and potentially kick up a PR storm. It’s underhanded bullshite of the highest order but it would take the NCAA saying nice try but no dice to make it go away.

What doesn’t make sense though is his sister just signed on to play softball at UGA so I didn’t know how an argument could be made about UGA being a racist environment while his sister is about to enroll and play here. As usual big pieces are missing

He'll have to beat out a highly rated recruit Tate Martell.

I’ve tried not to be bitter or have any ill will but if he does this race-based hardship shite I’m gonna be pretty irritated and find it hard to root for his success. I get taking advantage of the chances you have to get eligible immediately but this would be at the expense of your former program’s image. It’s one thing to transfer, he’s wel within his rights but to do it this way, Yeesh. I don’t think Georgia could have handled the baseball player incident better than they did.

But UGA did not fool around with the Sasser situation and terminated his scholarship immediately.

Good luck proving to the NCAA there was any kind of bias.

If the NCAA rules in his favor, watch the flood Gatea open with disgruntled player claims tarnishing the image of the sport.

I’m still not bought in that that’s what is happening given his sister is coming here to play softball. But if that is the play, it’s tantamount to a stick up attempt and should be looked at as such.

Yes. Martell seems to be a good player, but man I hope that kid falls on his face and his dad gets publicly and spectacularly busted getting a hummer from a tranny hooker.

Watching QB1...his dad just had the presumption that he could tell the coach at Bishop Gorman when during a game and at what point in the season Tate needed to “shut it down” to protect his next level interests. The kid himself was an entitled jackass throughout the show.
