They should play Notre Dame every year and be independent.

No. They enjoy enjoy putting up fake stats against talentless teams. It wins them Heismans and auto bids to the playoffs.

They are afraid of becoming Nebraska or Tennessee.

Why should the SEC want that? A marginalized Big 12 and a marginalized ACC is good for us.

Yes and move Auburn and Alabama to the East and move Mizzou and Oklahoma into the west. That will Even things up nicely. Geographically it makes sense and I also would like to see little Nicky cry like a bitch about moving.

I’d rather see OU in the sec than the B1G or pac. The big 12 is dead after 2025 and OU and Texas will land somewhere. OU in the west and Bama in the east would even out the conference substantially.

At what point does the conference enforce the "South Eastern" or completely change the name?

I know I want more SEC cross division games. I want SEC schools to play one another more than once per decade. Growing the size of the conference does not help this.

More is not merrier, it's more crowded.

Why should any division have Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, LSU, and A&M

No they seem to be a package deal with OSU and Texas . I would prefer to get the North Carolina schools or even Kansas. We need to improve our basket play . We are already the king in football .

Why would the SEC expand? Last time, it was to get into Texas, and set up a conference network. What compelling reason is there now, or even several years down the road?

Are you one of these folks who buys into the bullshite theory that college sports is going to end up with four conferences composed of 16 teams? Even if you buy that ridiculous argument, OU to the SEC makes little sense--they pretty much have to go to the Pac with Texas, OSU, and Texas Tech, in order to get the Pac to 16 if you think that is the end state of conference realignment.

If the SEC were looking to expand, they would probably look in the direction of Virginia and North Carolina, but I don't see that happening any time soon, either.

I think the only way that could happen is if the SEC took in Oklahoma St also. They are a package deal

In an ideal world, the SEC should add Oklahoma to the West and Clemson to the East.

The conference would be so stout at that point. Both are cultural fits for the league.

The SEC doesn't need any more football powers. Pick up a couple basketball schools and become the best in football and basketball.
