Eliah Drinkwitz is yet another former Gus Malzahn protege who makes a lot of sense as Lindsey’s replacement.
He actually followed Gus Malzahn at Springdale High as the offensive coordinator the year he left to coach the offense at Arkansas, and then followed Malzahn to Auburn as a quality control assistant before also following Malzahn to Arkansas State as a running backs coach. He jumped through the ranks as the co-offensive coordinator at Arkansas State, became the tight ends coach under Bryan Harsin at Boise State and was the offensive coordinator there in 2015.
The offense ranks 24th in total offense and 34th in scoring this season after putting up similar number last season. Before that, he had Boise State ranked in the top 15 of those offensive categories.
He also coaches quarterbacks, which is something Auburn needs badly next season and beyond.

Burns as an option is a joke and I don't believe that. Fatty BM just trying to stir up bullshite as usual. That dude really sucks.

It really doesn't matter. If it's Freeze, he'll be here one year, and if we're lucky maybe we go 9-3. We don't get any titles and Gus keeps his job into 2020, wherein he'll shite the bed and gets fired.

Bryant is deciding tomorrow, supposedly an Auburn lean, and we don't have an OC? That tells me we are getting Freeze and it's already been decided.

Honestly I think this is a fine outcome.
Gus sinks or swims on his own. At best we get Gus in his purest, most professorial form and we win a bunch, at worst he's gone mid year

Or we get 8 wins with an awesome offense Gus is fired and Freeze promoted to HC.
