Their insecure fans will still find something to complain about.

So you will have a win over a 2 loss aTm, a 3 loss, Ole Miss, and a 3 loss 7su, and a 2 loss Miss st.

Wow, that should do it.

Auburn will move into the top 5 with a win.

LSU would move to probably #8-#9 If they win.

If the CFP committee was ranking teams this early then the winner of this game would be ranked #1.

A win over LSU should propel them to #1. Holy hell, I wish you people would make up your minds. Does LSU suck or not?

They would have two wins better than bama, clemson, georgia and ohio state's single best win.

Its funny because you could literally say the exact same thing about LSU is they leave jerrrdeeen hauurree with the dub.

In all seriousness, how in the frick does this make sense?

Auburn beats #6 Wash and #12 LSU
LSU beats #8 Miami and #7 AU

I know yal struggle with math and such, but damn.

We don't know yet if any of those pre season and early season rankings are legitimate. Your ”logic" assumes that they are.

Because preseason polls don't matter, except for the fact that they matter a huge deal... for some reason.

I mean shouldn't they be rooting for LSU at this point? Losing to LSU has been the cornerstone of Auburn's last quality runs.

If Auburn is undefeated and has wins over Washington, LSU, and Mississippi State, then there is no doubt in my mind they'll be #1 in the initial CFB Playoff rankings.

The AP Voters aren't likely to move Auburn into the Top 4 though unless either Bama, Clemson, Georgia, or Ohio State lose a game or look terrible in a game.

I think Auburn move to #5 with a win this weekend. But I think that's as high as they go in the AP until the Playoff Committee rankings come out.

At this point what else do you use to quantify quality wins? Yea the pre-season rankings may be bullshite but the fact remains college football is using them.

With that said, after this weekends games, there will be new rankings. Why on earth would you assume the team who beat two higher ranked teams (per the system being used until the committee's first ranking, bullshite or not..) be ranked lower than the team who beat lower ranked teams

Exactly. As long as their is an AP/Coaches poll(s) being used in college football, they matter.
